Can we stop world's population from increasing?

More problems will hit us when the population has increased beyond the capacity of the Earth to support it.
So, do we have any idea to stop population from increasing?
Can we:
1. reduce aging population (non-productive)
2. increase young generation population (productive)
3. at the same time, reduce overall population?

What is the suggestion?

I did not realise that the Chinese, like the Indians, have a word for 10⁵ rather than the "million" for 10⁶ that the European languages use.

In India they have "lakh" for 10⁵ and "crore" for 10⁷. I used to find this very confusing when I was in Dubai and had a lot of Indian colleagues.

In chinese, we have:
yi = 0.1B
zhao = 1.0 T
jing = 10000 T (very big, right :D)
hai = 10000 jing = 100 millions T (very very big !!!)

Seems no one has crossed that off the books yet. Let's just face it, humans, because of their extra-ordinary gifts, are the most dangerous, destructive, greedy, and pervasive and invasive species.
Even to ourselves.

Natural law tolerates imbalance (surface nuisance) over long periods of time, but imbalance on a global scale eventually leads to global correction. And that is already beginning to happen.
And it's going to get much worse.
As Carlin said; "pack your bags folks, we're going away"

It seems there is a natural impetus that countries with high death rate also have a high birth rate. More off- spring, greater chance for survival of the species.

You see the dilemma. Zero growth will happen, whether we like it or not. This does not necessarily mean an exact formula, but when we reach the stage where the earth can no longer sustain the damage we do to it, bad things will happen.
Florida today is just a hint of what is to come. How many people have been displaced so far and will they ever be able to go back. Migration is already starting. Wait until wars for living space break out.

Remember one fact, anything with a growth rate of just 1 % will double every 70 years. And that is at an exponential rate, IOW,
At 1% growth starting today @ 7.5 billion, 15 billion, 30 billion, 60 billion, 120, 240, 480 billion etc. every 70 years (1 lifetime).
The current world population is 7.5 billion as of March 2017 according to the most recent United Nations estimates elaborated by Worldometers. The term "World Population" refers to the human population (the total number of humans currently living) of the world.
