Well, that is were you and I differ in opinion.
I don't think a cat is better than the bird it eats either..
 
Nobody, then I would agree that you would have a valid point if you say you aren't better than an animal. But I don't think a person who eats animals can say he isn't better than an animal.

and the cow I eat isn't better than me. I wasp I kill isn't better than me. Both are about survival, just like the cat and the bird

I am not better than other animals. No animal is better than another. I wouldn't even know how to begin to even measure that in a non-arbitrary way..
