Now you recognize that skin color isnt how you group people, recognize that intelligence, or even a college degree is a better measurement.

I think even Jesse Jackson had the sense to admit that one time while walking alone at night he observed that were people walking behind him and that when he turned around he was glad to see they were white. I don't judge people because of their color, I'm just aware that the average Jew is smarter than the average African.

No. The new "White" people would just become the old Black and vice versa. The new "White" people would still be poor, violent less intelligent etc.

You are not the smartest person I've met. You obviously are not as smart as Oprah. You obviously are not as smart as some of the people who came from south African villages and who now have Phds from Harvard. If these people were white, and if all the Asians were also White, you'd be held up to a much higher standard. I'd think you'd be in the ghetto unless you could get a degree.

Hopefully I'm not the smartest person you've ever met. Smarter than Oprah? How would I be able to prove it? I never said that there weren't some smart Black people, just that on a per capita basis Whites are smarter. If Blacks or Hispanics or possibly even Asians ran things, you're right I would be oppressed and forced to live in the ghetto! In Zimbabwe, I would just be killed and have all my property stolen! Google Zimbabwe farm murders.

Actually I used to wait tables. I'm white. I have NEVER had the race card pulled out on me. I was waiting tables for 4-6 month.

I read an article that Blacks almost never tipped and waiters of all races hated Black customers because they also caused way more problems. Wish I could find it. Guess a google search is necessary.

This is not the article I mentioned earlier. The other one was way worse. Every comment was like the first one on the link provided.

From my own experience, I stopped going to one restaurant because everyday at lunch these loud obnoxious Black kids would come in (about a dozen) and order 1 order of fries between them. The restaurant went out of business less than a year later.

As a black man, first and foremost, I don't hate white people. I don't like some of them but then again, there's some blacks, Arabs, Indians, etc. I don't like.

From reading the first post, I don't see anything racist. I see ignorance. I think if the person were of any race and had the IQ the poster spoke of, the same treatment would have ensued.

What I wanna know is how did the poster get from one bad experience with one person to an entire race not liking him?

But I'm of the frame of mind where If I don't know you, I could care less what you think of me. I can't change peoples minds nor do I care to.
 
I've read this whole thread and so far Count Sudoku sounds right. But also ignorant, I myself am black. I suppose if I walked past him outside he'd see me as a gun weilding thug. Which I am far from.

Far from? But how is he to know that?

Survival of any and all animals on this planet has depended on being wary and cautious of any animal that is unlike themselves. Surely you're not suggesting that every human view every other human without fear or caution? There are criminals of every kind out there, murderers, rapists, bullies, child molestors, serial killers, ..., and we should all be cautious of strangers.

Skin color is just one of many factors that we should take into account when viewing strangers within out midst. To do otherwise is to become a victim!

Why do you assume black people are a different animal from white people?

They feel pain just like you, they feel fear just like you, they think the same stuff about you that you think about them in some cases, do you think a black man would feel comfortable walking past a group of skin heads?

Bald heads are just one of many factors that we should take into account when viewing strangers within out midst.

Tooth size is just one of many factors that we should take into account when viewing strangers within out midst.

Do you have blonde hair? are your cannine teeth big? or are you a bald?

As you've said ....physical characteristics are something that we should all take into account when viewing strangers. And black skin is just one of those characteristics, right? As is wide, flat nostrils? And kinky, black hair?

But when we see a stranger walking towards us, we can't see anything EXCEPT physical characteristics, can we? So if the latest news is that a group of blacks have attacked and killed a white man, then we should be VERY cautious of a group of black people, right? Or would you just assume that THIS black group is a bunch of nice guys?

It was a rhetorical device. I do not judge by physical character, I judge by inner character, personality. Not all skinheads are violent or even racist. Not all bald men are gang members, ex-convicts, drug dealers and thugs, but because some of them are, I can see how people might consider bald to be one of those red-flags in the same way people will judge on skin color. Tupac was bald, and so are Skinheads, and people associate bald with aggression.

I'm cautious of any group of guys, black, white, asian, and the more uniform the group the more cautious I become. If I see a bunch of white skinhead looking people, I won't feel comfortable, if I see a bunch of bald black thug looking people, I won't feel comfortable, if I see a group of Asians all dressed the same, I won't feel comfortable. It has nothing to do with race and everything to do with the fact that I don't like crowds of strangers, especially males.

This depends on how they dress and how diverse the group is. If the group has men and women, and has different races and cultures I'd feel more welcomed than if it were just a bunch of black guys. The same goes for white groups or any group, I don't like big groups of all one type, thats a bad sign right there.

TO be simple, I'm cautious around any group where everyone looks, acts, or thinks the same. The less diverse the group is, the more uncomfortable I am. I don't feel safe around groups of whites, groups of blacks, or groups of yellows, all of them are equally capable of deadly violence. I'm aware of the group think mentality, (hooliganism)I know how groups are and I don't like to hang around in big groups of any one kind, I feel comfortable around diversity and it does not matter if the group is white, black, yellow, purple, I don't want to be around a group which is closed to the outside world and which wants to control how the group thinks to the point where everyone has to dress, look, and be the same person. The only exception to this is the military, I admire the military, but not because of the dress code.

Would you feel safe if a group of white soldiers with guns were standing around? I'd think anyone would get nervous when around a group of males with guns. I'd be nervous around a group of females with guns. I'd be nervous around a group of dogs with sharp teeth, I'd be nervous around a mass of entities capable of violent acts until I know each entity.

Ive never had any problem with black people in the uk or the states, got some weird vibes from them in the carribean though, where it was subtley made clear that they didnt like me on sight. Some people are just inherently racist, what can you do eh.

What can you do? Support them in their rights to the freedom to hate and to denigrate whoever they choose. That's what freedom means, ya' know.
