Sanctuary vs. Kik Tracee
Some years ago, a local music news rag interviewed Seattle band Sanctuary, and along the way it arose that they would award Kik Tracee—one of the era's saddest tales, a band oft accused of ripping GnR but actually falling into the KISS desecendancy—some manner of something for their inexplicable and astonishingly bad cover of "Mrs. Robinson", and no, I shite thee not, they really did cover the song.
The irony, of course, is that Sanctuary was known for—under the tutelage of none other than Dave Mustaine—inexplicably covering "White Rabbit".
I shite thee not. They really did cover the song.
Thus, it's not quite a Battle of the Bads, but still:
That ought to set the tone nicely.
