Kicking your judge in the shins doesn't lead to an unfair judgement that you may not be the most socially minded individual. Speech has consequences, one of those consequences is people form opinions about you.

I may just be missing something in my current state of hysteria (just got a third interview callback for this job I'm after) but uh... I don't see him on the Ban list... or even the Registered Members list, nor in the Moderator Control Panel... so yeah... maybe I'm mispelling his name? Balerion right?

It’s funny, but not unexpected. You yourself are under threat of a permanent ban from Sciforms and for just cause. So it is not surprising to see you wail and complain about Balerion’s ban. It is what you do. When I read your posts and those of Balerion they often remind me of this line from American Gangster, ““the loudest one in the room is the weakest one in the room.”. Think about it. But of course we both know you will not spend even one moment thinking about it….it’s not what you or Balerion for that matter do. Just perhaps, that is why you have trouble with the moderators. Instead of blaming and being loud, perhaps a few moments of introspection would be in order. But of course, we both know, that is just not your gig. Athletes begin with baby steps, they practice, they exercise. Exercise works…just something for you to think about. You can start with little things like getting your facts straight and stop playing schoolyard games and offering schoolyard excuses and insults.

To but it succinctly, he PM'ed a moderator and told them to, and I quote, "Fuck Off"... pretty much asking for a booting, especially with existing infractions.

I can't see his infractions and since when is "FO" on PM bannable? It isn't in the public eye, and I've got all kinds of vicious stuff written to me via PM. When they say "keep it off the boards", that's where it's supposed to go. Is this now new ground for leveling infractions?
Essentially, his banning appears to have been because he protested too strongly to Tiassa's threat to ban me on the "Syrian Revolution thread". That initial charge being juust a bit unjust, I can see why he reacted.
It's more that, as far as I can tell, the private message consisted of just "F off" and nothing more. If there had been some kind of context to it then, ya know, the whole "tough skin" and what not... but that's just my take on it.

Considering the only reason Geoff is not banned is because I spoke up for him, you and he can both go and kiss my arse.

If people wish to know or understand regarding Balerion.
He was issued a warning. His response to that warning via PM was not the best and so he was banned due to the amount of points he had accrued and what had happened immediately prior to that. Things do not happen in a vacuum on this site.
To everyone, yes, you can be banned for sending abusive PM's to people. Regardless of who is on the receiving end.
People are banned for it.
There seems to be this bizarre belief that anything goes via PM. No it is not. There are limits and if you breach them, then yes, you will be banned.

You can't even bring yourself to apologise for it or say thank you when others speak up to save your ungrateful backside.
