Hi all,

I don't like AOL. When I was a newbie, I tried them (on a different computer) with disastrous consequences. Anyways, I'm using a program called Regcleaner to, guess what, clean my registry, as I'm a bit nervous messing around there myself, and I've noticed that whenever my machine is rebooted, AOL is in my reg. I've just about searched my hard drive file by file and I am unable to locate anything to do with AOL. Yet, no matter how many times I remove it, a reboot puts it right back. Can anyone tell me where to find this POS file that keeps invading my registry?

Thanks in advance,

Shadow

Have you looked through your hard drive's windows folder?

I'm no expert......gah hate saying that..but if you find anything there and delete it--it's gone.

Just a thought.

A lot of these love to hate programs install in multiple ways including scripts.

Pollux,

Yeah, checked the hard drive, there's nothing related to AOL there. And I know how you feel about the expert thing, but that's why I post here.

Wet1,

How do I look for scripts?

Thanks,

yumyum,

Thanks,

Tested it out on my laptop and there's no spyware (I always check freeware progs for it). Looks useful, will try it on my desktop.
