Yes. From me. I had really hoped we’d seen the last of you, you tiresome jerk. I thought you were banned and I have asked moderation what the hell you are doing here.

Charming, cordial and friendly as ever ex
You do not disappoint

When I saw this thread, I still had river on Ignore.

But
a] It is not our call to decide if a pre-existing member wants to get re-active. I'm not sure why river is asking us, but I can interpret both the ask and the three year hiatus as forms of deference.

b] I presume he's still banned from posting in the science fora. (I've never heard of a SciFo member being banned from a specific group of fora).

c] If he wants to re-join, ideally, having absorbed what he's learned in his time here, everyone deserves a second chance. Maybe he's changed. Maybe he went back to school and got a diploma in science, for all we know.

d] And after all, the Ignore button is still right there...

Who are you? Your profile provides no information. And my sense is that someone who would launch a new thread to dramatically announce themselves and dig up controversy around their entrance ...has more ego than scientific curiosity or insights. This sense was, sadly, confirmed with your swaggering response to Exchemist, "You fear me."

Usually someone who wants to join a discussion just goes to a thread topic they are interested in and....discusses.

Just take a look at this guy's past history, or indeed his recent stupid trollish post about gravity: https://www.sciforums.com/threads/c...itational-constant.166776/page-3#post-3752795. Nobody is genuinely that stupid.

He's a time-wasting idiot. And may even be a sock of Theorist, an oft times banned timewaster.

P.S. Oh I see DaveC426913 has already kindly obliged with the same reference. In that case try this classic: https://www.sciforums.com/threads/has-there-been-an-improved-understanding-of-water.135771/

This ended up with him suggesting that a single molecule should be encased in plastic, to study what phase (solid, liquid or gas) it was in.
