You can't keep me away forever, beehatches!

Al Gore is being accused of borderline rape by a masseuse in a 2006 case in Oregon.

Al Gore accused of sexual misconduct by Oregon woman in 2006

PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) -- A Portland massage therapist accused former Vice President Al Gore of "unwanted sexual contact" at a hotel during an October 2006 visit, but no charges were filed due to lack of evidence, law officials said Wednesday.

. . . .

"This case is exceptionally cleared as (the woman) refuses to cooperate with the investigation or even report a crime," the report states. The case reopened in January 2009. Detectives interviewed the woman but determined there was insufficient evidence to support the allegations, Portland police said in a news release. In a transcript of the interview released by the police, the massage therapist said she was doing requested abdominal work on Gore when he started to moan and demanded she go lower. "I was shocked and I did not massage beyond what is considered a safe, nonsexual area of the abdomen," she said. "He further insisted and acted angry, becoming verbally sharp and loud. "I went into much deeper shock as I realized it appeared he was demanding sexual favors or sexual behaviors." She said Gore grabbed her hand and shoved it toward his pubic area. She alleged he later tried to have sex with her and began caressing her before she squirmed out of his grasp.

"I did not immediately call the police as I feared being made into a public spectacle and my reputation being destroyed," she said. "I was not sure what to tell them and was concerned my story would not be believed since there was no DNA evidence from a completed act of rape. I did not even know what to call what had happened to me." Detective Mary Wheat, a Portland police spokeswoman, said the woman contacted detectives this month and asked for a copy of her statement. The woman, according to Wheat, said she planned to take her case to the media.

GROSS!

So, I have to wonder, if Al Gore's high-profile status has helped keep this case from being treated seriously? It's getting a lot of coverage today. I'm just thinking that because of who Al Gore is, he's something akin to untouchable.

And what was the real motivation for Mr. Gore, if he indeed did this?

Was it a side effect of Catastrophic Anthropogenic Climate Change Syndrome? Is there funding for psychological research on the impact of CACCS? If not, it should seriously be considered.

Or, perhaps, this was the result of what happens when former womanizing Presidents astrally project and "walk-in" on their former Vice-Presidents...

This was all over my local radio station this morning. The host, Carl Wolfson said he has a friend who was friends with this woman, and she confirms the authenticity of her allegations (although she wasn't there). But hey, if you were married to Tipper Gore, wouldn't you want some release? He plainly sounds in the wrong, but I wouldn't say it amounts to rape.

If prostitution were legal, this never would have happened.

Not rape? There are people on sex offender lists for urinating in public! If someone sees your dick and gets offended, you can easily be thrown in with rapists and child molesters.

Al Gore gets more than a little forceful in a sexual manner, and the woman isn't taken seriously.

I don't know if prostitution will stop this kind of thing. Maybe. I'm all for legalizing prostitution.

We don't really know how forceful he was. I think it's safe to say he's not the most socially proficient person in the world, maybe he was just awkward. If the allegations are true, he has to take the consequences for it. The right wing is going to go nuts over this, although it's not really a new story.

He's doing important work, I just hope these allegations won't undermine the important message of global warming, which is not a fraud.

I don't think his work is important. I think he's a huckster who's setting out to make plenty of money. I would like to see him tarnished.

He was a millionare before he started. His work is giving something back to the people.

Giving back? "Science" based alarmism? Plans for higher taxes, higher prices on just about everything? Plans for energy rationing and other draconian controls?

damn y'all have great choices for your leaders.

I was expecting a thread about gore molesting bush II though :p

*************
M*W: Funny thing that his break with Tipper was carefully planned before this stuff erupted. I always had my doubts about him and his squeaky clean persona! I never believed it was sincere. He's just a scumbag like all the rest. I bet he had a field day when he was VP. And they used to say he was so "wooden." Now we know it was because he kept getting woodies.

I always assumed the reason why he was so wooden was because Clinton was getting all the good stuff and sticking Al with the leftover scaps - like Hillary :p

JUST KIDDING

At least Al Gore hasn't been found sexually asphyxiated yet !

Although I generally hate petty politics, I think Al Gore is a fraud, so I hope they put him through the ringer.
Wringer.

Giving back tons of emissions from all that energy gorged by his mansion?

You do know the man lives in a mansion, owns plenty of property, as well as multiple cars?

This was funny, ahem:
"I did not immediately call the police as I feared being made into a public spectacle and my reputation being destroyed," she said
She's a masseuse.
