AGONY AUNTIE ToR- problem resolution :)

Dear ToR,

I was looking out my window the other evening and I thought I saw a transdimentional being - looked sort of cat-like - step through a rip in the spacetime continuum. Do you think I should report this or just mind my own business and hope for the best?

Americans. How can you possibly defend yourself on horseback, with a sword, if attacked by passing strangers when you are on the righthandside of the road. It's just stupid.

I have a vague recollection that the decision was made purely on the grounds that it was NOT English way, and therefore a good choice. Plus the fact that the original settlers were a small community (or number of communities) and had fewer horse riding starngers to be wary of...
Err, when I say I have a vague recollection, I mean I have a vague recollection reading that the decision was made... I'm not quite that old. :rolleyes:

How do the strangers attack if they are also on the right hand side of the road?

Why else would they call us "sinistral"?
 
I have no problems because I am happy and free.

No I am not. Why?
Therapy is for people with mental problems.
A clear mind, and control over your life is hardly a mental problem.
 
Sorry but I used to work in a hospital and your words sounded like the affirmations that psychiatrists give patients to chant.

How do you do a wheelie on a motorcycle? 2nd question related to the first-- how do you stay on one wheel without falling over? Third question- how do you end the wheelie without crashing?

I guess that is a good idea now that I reread what I wrote over.
Perhaps if they keep repeating it, they will loose their psychosis, and be a sane, and well balanced intellect like me.
 
Dear ToR,
I'm in love with a man who lives 13 hours from me. He is in love with me too. We're both not so young anymore and we want to start a life together. However, the possibility of me living so far away is making my father depressed. My father is a difficult person to deal with, he is moody, tough headed and irretudible.
As much as I love my father and my country, it is my desire and my life's purpose to start a family with this man.
What is your advice?
 
How do you know this man? Is it through the internet? If so, be aware of the fact that things may be very different in reality to how you imagine them. Having said that, my advice is go. I think it's always better to regret something you have done than something you haven't and - if you don't go - you'll probably spend the rest of your life resenting your dad and wondering what could have been. It sounds to me like your dad is being a bit selfish: he's had his life and wants to stop you having one of your own, so go. Make sure you have enough for a return ticket in case things don't work out.
 
This thread is a joke.
I read the first 3 pages, and nobody posts actual personal problems.
Just problems regarding information that TOR just looks up on the internet.
Why she even entertains questions that are about information rather than about actual problems is nuts. It's a waste of time.

The first person I saw post an actual personal problem was pasquala on the 4th page.
Somebody should really start a new personal advice thread. This thread should be called TOR information rather than advice.

met him online 4 years ago, spoke to him nearly everyday until october when he came here... he returned other 4 times since then... I'm getting a visa so i can go meet his family
