Actors and Actresses you Can't Stand

I hate Jessica Alba. She gets millions to be in films and she's a high school level acting talent. She's eye-candy, but surely there's some pretty woman out there who can act too.

Keanu Reeves is pretty bad, though I still lilke Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure and The Matrix...and Much Ado About Nothing was so "so-bad-its-funny" that I can't bring myself to hate him. I am starting to hate Orlando Bloom. He's another high school level talent.

i thought orlando bloom made an excellent elf in lord of the rings,

peace.

leslie nielsen is great. my favorite actor is tony jaa, nobody can do stunts like him. in most cases you can say "that actor plays a good role" but tony jaa doesent just play a good acting role. he lives the movie and doesent just act, he is real.

ong bak and ong bak 2 are fucking brilliant.

There hasn't been a truly brilliant martial arts film since Bruce Lee. Though I will give a nod to both Ong Bak and many Jet Li films. They keep the spirit alive. But no one did fight films like Bruce did, he was simply the king.

There's no denying that she's an excellent actor. I just can't stand her.
This makes a discussion that is not dispute over taste: actors that one recognizes to be good, but nevertheless can't stand; G&H

and the flip category: actors one knows to be insufferable or totally unskilled, but likes anyway; B&L

and the middle category: actors one hates and knows to be bad, but that have something about them one recognises as legitimately attractive to others, so that liking them is forgiveable; HB&OK.

and the best category: actors that one likes and knows to be good, but that have something about them recognizably insufferable to others - so that hating them is easily forgiven. LG&OH

I don't watch enough movies to fill out such a chart.

For the Keanu Reeves haters:

LOS ANGELES -- Hollywood star Keanu Reeves is to star in a remake of the classic 1950s science fiction film "The Day The Earth Stood Still," it was reported on Monday.

Tony Jaa has an acrobatic and martial arts talent that is well beyond normal comprehension.
The scene in 'The Protector' where he storms the restaurant from the first floor all the way up to the 3rd or 4th floor...wow. That was a fully progressive scene with no cuts.

tablariddim,

You can add me to that list too. :D
Cage is a mediocre actor at best. He was decent in only 3 movies out of his that I've seen. Raising Arizona, Kiss of Death, and Gone in 60 Seconds.

I won't be seeing that then.

Yep, the rest are just wannabees. Though I do have a soft spot for Jackie Chan.;)

Chan's a very entertaining fighter to watch, but his movies aren't quite "kung-fu flicks" because so often they're comedies.

Who's that guy from the Rush hour movies that is always partners with chan? When
I find out, I hate him. His voice is so obnoxious.

I thought he an excellent Vulcan in Lord of the Rings--emotions seemed to confuse him--but Vulcans (even when they have solid RP accents) aren't elves. I guess he figured "meh, pointy ears are pointy ears.")

Whaaat??!! Dustin Hoffman is a great actor. Sure he has been in some looser films but he has been exceptional in many others.
You're taking my post out of context. I had quoted a previous person's post, and was naming the actor that he couldn't think of. I happen to like Dustin Hoffman.

"Actors" I can't stand: Keanu Reaves and Nicholas Cage. Both are quite one-dimensional.

My least favourite actress, off the top of my head, is Brittany Murphy.

As for actors who seem only able to play themselves: Robin Williams, does he have to be so frantic? Jim Carrey, does he ever loose that idiotic facial expression? I also hate Adam Sandler and "born again virgin" Drew Barrymore:rolleyes:
