What a shitty movie. I wish I'd read the book first, now I have no intrest whatsoever in reading it.

I went on cheap night. I wish I'd have gone on regular price night so that people wouldn't be able to say "ah well, don't whine, at least you went on cheap night."

I don't think I've ever regretted a $5 purchase until this movie ticket...

If you like this movie, I hate you.

Use this thread to vent about the movie if you hated it as much as I did.

I was hoping for a different ending..

one that might show the world completely overrun by decaying bodies; all infected by the virus. false hopes...

i liked it though. i thought it was pretty funny, to be honest. it had a gritty feel to it...

the best part was where the city was burning...

They are going to show thw original ending now after the credits end. Orginally the actual ending was cut out for American audiences due to the fact it didn't favor well with the focus group but now after the credits end they will show the actual, more grim, ending.

But as always the advertisments were blown out proportion. The movie wasn't scary at all, just the concept of it was.

eh, it was alright.

I was thinking "trainspotting with zombies" as thats the only other movie i'd seen by the director and as a result had very different expectations.
I felt that it half heartedly started to give the message that people don't need the virus to be violent and thats how we are normally and that it kinda petered out with that stupid ending. Although a friend(who loved it) pointed out that the message of the movie was about doing what you have to to survive and how the protagonist(forgot his name) finally acted like the woman(forgot her name) advocated. so maybe i was reading too much into it.

None of the endings are any good, they all leave you feeling like you've been cheated. Wish they had put in just a little more effort, it could have a great film instead of one that gets mediocre ratings in a forum like this.

The 'begining' smelled terribly alot like the end of certain other movie sporting zombies that seem maliciously intent on sniffing out and attacking ONLY the living.

Besides having the mundanely clichéd theme of post apocalyptic I found that during the begining -pre-idiotic-military-scenes my fantasy was perparing me for an epic tale of survival and intrigue and the gradual rebuilding of civilization from 0. But then they get rescued . The end.

Blah, never watch this movie, it's not worth the sacrifice, I have found greater contemntment with bouncing a ball against a wall for 2 hours straight.

not that you care, but since you're going to knock it, at least understand it. the zombies were not UNDEAD zombies. they were very much "alive" and were attacking the uninfected.

i liked this movie. i like to fantasize along with movies like this. maybe it didnt offer a lot of intellectual stimulation, but it was a good fantasy movie. fucking eat shit it was better than most of the other crap being shelled out lately...i mean come on...

LEGALLY BLONDE 2? RED WHITE AND BLONDE?!
COME THE FUCK ON!!

In Resident Evil the 'zombies' were not undead either, infact, hmm they were simply infected by a virus and were technicaly 'alive' and were attacking, umm, the uninfected!

Yes I also liked the theme and the concept, but honestly it's been done ever since On The Beach was written and long before that. They could have done so much more with this movie, I do credit it with being unpredictable in the sence that you might be thinking 'I don't think they simply get rescued, that would be too predictable!!' while watching it.:D
