It was an odd time, the 90's brought plenty of angst while nerves were frazzled about y2k and when nothing happened it seemed like there would be hope for the future as we entered into the 21st century.
Then, the unthinkable happened.
George Bush was elected president and hopes began to dwindle.
Then, the unthinkable happened again.

At that point, all hope for the future disappeared and we were right back into a new kind of angst.
