Enlightenment is a Hoax. Stay away from it.

Haha. I read the title of this thread as "Entanglement is a Hoax, Stay Away from It".

So I had to open it up to see what kookiness this was about.
Imagine my surprise to find I've already visited here (two years ago) and commented.
 
Not expecting, um, enlightenment from a thread OP by someone who adopts the name of the Nazi SS. I expect there are scammers and there are people who are genuine about searching for a state of calm reflection, passage from disturbing emotions and desires, and deep connectedness. Alan Watts seemed like the real thing - didn't have his hand out for money.

The OP argument is flawed, sort of like saying:

There are many scams about attaining good health.
Therefore, good health is a hoax.

Many have tried, many have died. My record includes the comment "His EKIA count is impossible to determine as many of his kills were over a mile from the boat."
