Is gravity caused by rotation rate?

good . Your growing .
Rotation is part of gravity .
Please follow the conversation. I said your posts are stupid bullshit.
Making baseless claims is trolling, if you continue doing that I will keep reporting you.
If enough people report you then you will eventually be kicked off threads and possibly the site.

Rotation is part of gravity . Hence planetary rings .

Moderator note: river has been warned for (repeatedly) posting nonsense and pretending it is science.

Claims should be supported with suitable evidence and/or argument.

Due to accumulated warning points, river will be taking a brief break from the forum.

It is not that we don't understand you. It is that you are wrong. Provably, demonstrably wrong.
It will take time to accept the truth of what I'm explaining .
Rotation of a planetary body matters . Rings are the expression of the rotation of the planet .
Some 90° to the plane of the equatorial plane of the Sun .

Explain why rings exist in the first place .

You have changed your claim - moved the goalposts.

Look at the thread title. Your claims have been that planetary rotation causes gravity. That, without planetary rotation, there would be no gravity. Thats what this thread is about.

Are you now retracting that claim?

Please do not troll.

This website has no Honor .

Rings are the expression of the rotation of the planet .
Nope. They are just orbiting objects. Sometimes those objects orbit prograde (same direction as the planet.) Sometimes they orbit retrograde (opposite rotation.) Triton, for example, is a moon that orbits the opposite way that Neptune spins. Jupiter has over 500 retrograde moons.

If orbiting objects like rings were "the expression of the rotation of the planet" then that would be impossible.

Sorry.

This website has no Honor .

I'd say you have no honor since you cannot admit when you are wrong.

I explained to you what a ring is in post #136.

If you keep asking the same stupid questions and keep making the same nonsense claims over and over, I will keep reporting you, over and over.

STOP wasting everybody's time.

Moderator note: river has been warned for trolling.

Due to accumulated warning points, river will again be taking some time out from sciforums.

In the previous warning he received in this very thread, river was told that he must support his claims with evidence and/or arguments. It is the height of stupidity to get back from a temporary ban and then immediately repeat the offence that got you banned in the first place, in the same thread. Still, some people are slow learners - if they learn at all. Maybe river will think before he posts again.

In one of his books, Isaac Newton showed a mountain with a cannon at the top.
The cannon balls were shot out at different velocities and all fall towards the earth.
Even those balls in orbit are falling towards the earth (centre of mass), but their velocity means they keep missing the earth.
There is no rotation of the earth itself needed to place a ball in orbit.
If there was no mountain in the way, the cannon itself would fall towards the centre of earth.
Here is a site were you can set the ‘speeds’ of the ball.
Set the slider for velocity and then press the black arrow key to fire.

I've just found out you can shoot a ball around the earth and kill yourself standing along side the cannon. sound effects included.
