Will COVID vaccines affect women's fertility and birth rates?

This article claims that COVID vaccines are causing changes in women's menstrual cycles. This has caused a slew of strange comments by women claiming that after vaccination, their period stopped. Overall, this seems uncomfortably similar to the conspiracy theory that COVID vaccines will affect women's reproduction.

My questions are:

Is this effect on women's reproductive parts exclusive to the COVID vaccine?

Will this affect women's fertility and birth rates?

Well, it doesn't really affect their "parts" as much as it affects their menstrual cycle, which is based on hundreds of other things. For example, heavy exercise or living with other women will affect your menstrual cycle as well. No (real) doctor would advise a woman to live alone or not exercise for that reason.

There is zero indication that it will. However, there is good evidence that getting COVID-19 will harm pregnant women and lead to worse outcomes.

have they already caught covid & which variant was it they caught ?
have they had the anti body test ?
& what was their menstrual cycle like previously ?
& what type of contraceptive have they been using & for how long ?
& how old are they & how much do they weigh & how tall are they & do they have diabetes ?
what type of drugs have they been taking & for how long ?

So if a woman's period permanently stops, she can still conceive?

This is new information to me. Do you have any sources to back that up?

No, first you had better produce evidence that anyone's periods have stopped "permanently". Nobody said anything about that until you suddenly introduced it.

Let's hope your evidence is better evidence than the exploding thymus glands.

Shocking how the caution regarding vaccination of pregnant women has led to more unnecessary death and disease. At least better late than never that advice to pregnant women is they should get vaccinated now.

Since the thalidomide tragedy, there has been great reluctance to include pregnant women in medical trials. They've been (often informally) advised to wait and see. This overcautious approach has resulted in unnecessary deaths and illness during this pandemic.

Yes there is little doubt about its safety for pregnant women. I see the clear advice from the UK NHS that you posted has been for some time that they should get vaccinated.

The hesitancy is I suppose a bit understandable in that pregnant women are cautious about a lot of things, but it is clear that such caution is misplaced in this case.

My claim is that the COVID vaccines are safe for pregnant women, better than catching COVID. As the study I linked above shows.

Well, it was an opinion based on two facts. One that pregnant women have been reluctant to get vaccinated as vaccine trials initially excluded them and advisors such as midwives advised delaying. Two that unvaccinated pregnant women are at much higher risk from COVID. Which of these two facts do you question?
