What's your favorite drink?

I prefer coffee but I also drink Tea. I don't usually have a hot Tea in the mornings. I prefer my coffee when I wake up...
the type of tea I drink usually depends on what I am eating. For instance: I like Japanese Green Tea with my Yakisoba, but only because that is what I was always served when I fell in love with a college aged Japanese woman while I was in Sigamihara (Kanagawa Prefecture, Honshu). She spurned my advances though... probably because she was 10 or more years older than I. LOL

It sounds like love has influenced your tea preference! I enjoy drinking black tea because I used to drink it around my dog before he died. The tea reminds me of him.

Lemon ginger tea (piping hot) has made me list for a new favorite. :)

Here, Darwin Australia, one channel has just started showing ALL James Bond movies for people who might like to binge watch, or cherry pick

In the ads is a scene where he orders vodka martini and a girl remarks shaken not stirred

Those who have tried both versions:- is there a taste difference?

:)

I always shake mine, but I'm told the purists stir them. Kingsley Amis was one such and stirred his.

As I understand it, the vigorous agitation of shaking will melt more of the ice into the drink, so it will be colder but more diluted by the water from the ice. My wife and I found this noticeable in the summer heat when we lived in Houston TX. In January in London, not so much.

But Bond got this wrong in a more important sense, in my opinion. The flavour and smell of the botanicals in gin is a huge part of the enjoyment to be had from a good martini. Vodka is just industrial alcohol, basically. I would never make a vodka martini.

gin is a huge part of the enjoyment

I don't know that part of London very well, I'm afraid. The only Green Man I know is towards the top of Putney Hill, by the bus station.
