Between 1939 and 1945 ( during the war ) the Germans went to Italy to find German soldiers. Right? I was reading that the Italian women would give their last name to the German soldiers to hide them, so they wouldn't have to go to War in Germany. Can they still get arrested after 70 years? Some of the Italians would bury the soldier's to hide them. Has anyone heard of such???

Since the Germany that participated in WWII ceased to exist in 1945, no, it isn't still pursuing deserters.

What is a war crime?
interesting question.
i don't think there should be such a thing as a "gentlemans war".
when you are talking war you are talking about a very nasty, ugly, disgusting, thing.
a complete breakdown of civility where "anything goes".

if there ever were any "rules" in war then genocide would be the ultimate breach of them.

I hardly think so.
It's pretty much the ultimate goal, when you think about it.
Enemy gone. Sweet. Let's find a new one.

Pretty damn silly thread title though. Reminds me of scouring youtube trying to find a video NOT entitled "Best <something something> EVER!!!
