Anyone know if the comic book is better at this point in the story. Maybe the source material is weak (there is no redneck in the comic book either I heard).

My friend reports that in general, less stuff has happened at this point in the comics. But he also says that the characters in the comic are more "gritty". Perhaps the redneck is there to provide some of the missing grit? I too would be curious to hear more from any comic readers.
Did anyone notice the zombies run in season 2? The super slow meandering zombies always remind me of Shaun of The Dead and I just can't take people "running" from them serious now 
How long do zombies last? I mean, surely they're not digesting the meet they eat and getting any nutrition out of it? Do they drink? You need a lot of water to keep your body, alive or not, functioning

On the side, anyone hear anything on Apocalypse Z? Err World War Z (2012)?..... yes, that was a fan-tube trailer

apocolypse: yeah heard them talking about saving arrows. they take out several zombies in a secluded area. walk right by them and leave the arrows behind. one gets a hold of serious artillary, finally some action, shooting up zombies. only she leaves it behind and they end up out numbered again. hmm that was a surprize.

well it seems to me that a group with more fight in them should improve their situation by knocking down the numbers. finding more weapons of opportunity and i believe hunters are good with traps. maybe bring in some macguver creativity.

Most viruses effect people differently. I would like to see mutated ones that maybe still function with intellect and feelings. One zombie movie this chick dies and her boyfriend brings her back. to control herself, she used pain. became one of these kick butt chicks. that would be cool. a kick butt zombie. also a good idea is a special project bad ass zombie killer. with his muscles bulging and very little on.

I think a lot has already been said and this season has been a bit of a disappointment, but there is one bit of mechanics that's been bugging me. I know the biology is never well fleshed out in zombie movies, but I do recall from the part at the CDC that the zombies in the Walking Dead have an active brain stem, and basically this explains no thought, but still basic motor functions, blah blah blah. Nevermind the real anatomy of the brain or other biological inconsistencies, but I notice they shoot the zombies often in the upper part of the head. Quite a few of them go down with one crossbow bolt to the eye. However, the part of the brain being struck most often apparently isn't the part of the brain that even controls the zombie. It seems they should have to be more thorough in their 'headshots' in my opinion and severe or destroy entirely the brain stem. This increase in difficulty to kill a zombie could also help [a little], but not explain entirely, how the military was overrun.
The comic is okay, similar broadly. Most of the central characters cross over. It's kind of like "Ethical Surprises - With Zombies!"

I read the comics, graphic novels etcetera and they like the TV series deal mostly with the human to human relationship interaction with zombies thrown in to break up the monotony. Like somone said in an earlier post put in any random disaster and you will still have the same story, which personally i like, but if you are waiting for answers as to the science behind why there are zombies or why they do what they do you wont get them here unless they screen writers deviate from the comic. Of course characters have been tweaked and the story changed but to me the biggest difference as I think someone else stated is the grittiness of the characters and the story in general as compared to the comic, and sure the fact its on tv has alot to do with it but im sure they will ramp up the grit as the story continues.
this newest episode was really good. having to make a choice and well won't ruin it, but ending up shaving his head really changed his looks. oh yeah, he's going rogue. at first thought he'd been bitten by a zombie. whats his name, the other cop? he seems to be walking the good vs bad guy line.

This thread's pretty much died. Anyone still watching the show? The mid season finale was pretty good. I'll admit to being surprised when the little girl came walking out of the barn, although in retrospect it makes perfect sense.
I'm watching it. I only watch tv on sundays, it's on then ..meh

The only anime Ive watched is DB and all incarnations, Avatar which is a more western anime, and nyan koi! the one with a guy allergic to cats, but gets cursed by a cat statue.
I personally wont watch any anime unless there is some fan porn manga. I hate how they tease you so much with beautiful women and so much cleavage, even a nipple here and there, with no action or full nudity. I think there are some animes with full nudity, and id watch that even with no sex.
