Yeah, I saw it over the weekend and it was definitely a good movie. I wouldn't call it a great movie, but it is a fun action flick that's a readily enjoyable adventure. The story is pretty decent; it doesn't go very deep, but it doesn't have to, and they took a somewhat unorthodox route of meshing science and magic instead of pitting the one against the other. The action scenes are very good, easy to follow (no 'shaky-cam syndrome'), exciting, and look great (and there are a few subtle little effects that tie in with their explanation of magic and how it works, like the rippling distortion of the air emanating from a sorcerer's hand when 'pushing' an object around while working magic). The acting is good, and the younger cast members keep up with even experienced and well-established actors like Cage, and the humor is spot on, with good delivery and timing. It wasn't a laugh-riot comedy, and wasn't meant to be, but it did a good job of keeping our spirits up, and got the whole theater chuckling aloud more than once.
All-in-all, I'd give the movie an 8/10.

Most movies that Nicolas Cage plays in are usually very good to watch. I've not seen one he was in that was a bomb.
Well I did say MOST. There's always a dud sometime.

I'm still waiting on this "good" Nick Cage movie that everybody keeps referring to. When did it happen? I've yet to see one.

Depends on your definition of 'good.'
If your definition of 'good' is 'not crap' and that '90% of everything is crap', then no I don't think you'll find a good one (and only about 1 out of 10 of anything will be 'good'). This is a rather irrational and misrepresentational grading system, however.
But if you define the top tenth-percentile as 'supremely great/the best', with 'good' falling into the seventieth- to eighty-ninth-percentile, 'above average' falling into the sixtieth- to sixty-ninth-percentile, 'mediocre' falling into the fortieth- to fifty-ninth-percentile, 'below average' falling into the thirtieth- to thirty-ninth-percentile, 'bad' falling into the tenth- to twenty-ninth percentile, and 'absolutely horrible/the worst' as the zeroth- to ninth-percentile (a much more rational and realistic appraisal system), you will find most films in which Cage plays a leading role falling into the 'good' category, as most of his films fall in the 70s and 80s percentile range.
I personally would rate Sorcerer's Apprentice in the 80-85th percentile range. A 'good' movie, but not among the greatest/best.
I'm not saying that he's a great actor but only that he does allot of good movies that are worth watching on a Sunday afternoon when there's little else on. Reminds my of Errol Flynn kind of, movies that entertain but are no prize winners.
