I call bs. Substitute the word "white" for black and people would be SCREAMING "racism" until they were hoarse.

A little something that some folks, including yourself, need to understand about the way history is taught and presented in the United States.

• The study of women in American history is called "women's history", and is largely a college curriculum.
• The study of blacks in American history is called "black history", and is largely a college curriculum.
• The study of white Christian males in American history is called "U.S. History", and is taught in public schools across the country, including elementary, middle, junior high, and high schools, as well as at the collegiate level.​

Going out of one's way to tack the word "white" onto certain things in the United States makes other people cry foul because it is extraneous. "White history" and "white cultural studies" are virtually synonymous with U.S. history and American cultural studies.

About the only one that doesn't make sense to me is "Miss Black America". Then again, the best cure for that confusion, I've found, is to not give a damn about Miss Black America.

I don't know enough about the degree of his involvement in the Mormon church/the extent of his Mormonism. I do have a problem with Joseph Smith and them having their own Bible (the Book of Mormon). If he was a Christian, he would be a shoe-in for the next POTUS.

Mormons are Christians. They just believe that Joseph Smith received an extra revelation from God.

Thats because universities have always been white until the 1960s. and Because they're historically black does not mean they are racist.

Some of the festivals are dedicated to music contributions by blacks, It's not racist to appreciate music.

Oh, hell no. No jealousy here. I just see a lot of bs where it's ok for hundreds of specifically black orgs/holidays to exist where there are NO specific white orgs/holidays.

What the hell are you talking about?
There is a big difference between "support blacks" and "separate from whites".
One implies "being mindful of where you spend your money and working to help people support themselves", the other implies "don't give a dime to the white devil".
You can support black causes and not be a Black Nationalist.
You can't, on the other hand, be a Black Nationalist and support anyone else.
Black Nationalists ARE racists, and I don't think many people would deny that (even them).

Yes, necessarily - that was the whole point of the movement.

Black nationalism (BN) advocates a racial definition (or redefinition) of black national identity, as opposed to multiculturalism. There are different black nationalist philosophies but the principles of all black nationalist ideologies are 1) black pride, and 2) black economic, political, social and/or cultural independence from white society. Marcus Garvey is considered to be the grandfather of black nationalism.

That is a recent phenomena that came from negative press and backlash for promoting a racist ideology.
Any group that does honestly profess pride and does not promote separatism is not racist in my view, and I don't have a problem with them.
I assume you agree, being that you are defedning White Nationalism with that quote.
If that's true, then you should have no problem what so ever with Obama being associated with this church, correct?
