No. If one there is a problem with an authority and one wishes to sort it out, it is better to contact the first higher authority.

Whatever.. To me the proper thing to do is talk to the one you have a problem with first.

Not when they already insist that they have done nothing wrong, or otherwise have the attitude of being unapproachable.

enmos misses a dynamic in his thought processes. a glaring hole. an inability to comprehend the written word

why do you ignore the latter part of green's statement?
it is like this......if the frikkin 1st aint a frikkin good fit, maybe it is the frikkin 2nd

Whatever.

indeed. that is more your style. go to the playpen. you lack skills and now irritate

If you say so hoss.

ahh

/pleased

ben, i like you
i just dont understand your motivations. chase pseudo's all over cyberspace? thats pathology, boy!

the similarity b/w you and reiku is that you both lack social skills and frequently put one's foot in your respective mouths

Well, Gustav, I like you too goddammit. I like germans in general because they know how to make beer. I don't want to chase cranks all over cyberspace, but I do want to talk about physics. And truth be told, I learn a lot from talking to people like Reiku because it makes me understand WHY things are wrong.

I wouldn't say I lack social skills, but I do often times not read everything in a post that I should, case in point this misunderstanding here. Perhaps this comes off as a lack of social skills.

Great! I have some german heritage and I like beer too. Can I call you an immature troll with retarded social skills and tell you to fuck/shit/piss off too?

Will you like me better?

I could post
in a most undecodable

/haiku/koan

style to enlighten?

/happy

then we see the way
reality is construed for all
that

/understand.

I like you because you told Reiku where he could stick his work :)

I don't take anything that anyone says too seriously---at least I know that Gustav is full of shit when he calls me a troll.

I really like his insane style of posting.

Is it a german thing?

it is strange that an exercise in one's civic duties is punishable by banishment.
i mean, when i look at the banner on top of the page.....

SF Open Government : Power to The People

.....i see a natural conjunction of semantical concepts. the whole shit just fits. like a glove. i come to work out details in a methodical manner. i do not come to persecute anyone. yet.....the accusations and antipathy is what take precedence. it is how the mods chose to respond.

This has been brought up several times in various threads. The open government sort of collapsed when Porfiry posted this:
Effective immediately, SF Open Government is closed to all motions to ban users and all motions to take punitive action against moderators. Complaints about users can be made to moderators directly. Complaints about moderators can be made to me directly.

This forum has proven to be divisive, ineffective, and has taken the focus of members and moderators away from the core discussion forums here.

It is true that he left some room for open government discussion, hence this subforum still exists, yet your thread here most likely falls under the category of complaining about the mods. This is the scenario which you've conjectured when pressed, at least.

If the thread is just a question as to whether Sciforums is too apathetic for Open Government to actually work, then the answer is a resounding yes.

how many of my posts have you deleted in sfog? threads that reiku started?

Zero and zero.
Mods can only moderate forums in which they have permissions:

Your beef is with Plazma, James, and/or Stryder.

then when you guys ganged on him, more ire on my part was evident

By the way, nobody 'ganged up' on him. He was called on his bullshit by more than one person, yes. But there was no 'gang' despite how you might have construed it.

who in the mod team wants to accept responsibility for this abuse of power?

What abuse of power? Are you referring to your 'reg user' thing? That would be Skinwalker. You knew that already, didn't you? You saw the ban list. You pm'd James about it.

there are just 3 mods i respect, james, stryder and tiassa. with these guys, i am the noob. they understand and feel for sci as i do. perhaps more.

In that case, you shouldn't have a problem with your one day stint on the reg user list as it was approved by James whom you respect.

the threads in the past are dead. over. old! it has no relevance. to make it so is bogus

So. Moderators shouldn't take your entirety of actions into account? You were posting threads which had been moderated by Plazma. You actually overrode his moderation. Then posted this thread which seems to be simply an extension of those previous threads yet you think that the 'past' should be forgotten?

And, if you state that this thread was not about an extension of your gripes in the moderator threads. Or if you continue your assertion that those threads weren't even about moderation...
Then perhaps you should rethink your chosen posting style.
Enigmatic is not always a good thing, is it?
You can try to hide behind the "nobody understands me" but when you purposefully try not to be understood the shelter collapses in on itself.

Ok. So post 22 then?

compliance with tos and community standards entitles one to be a member.

Part of the community standard is that you're subject to moderation. Hence your 'right' can be revoked at a moment's notice. If you're posting bullshit in phsyics, in other words, then said bullshit can be moved to pseudo/cesspool. If you ignore moderator warnings, you can be banned.

Thank you for posting! Your post will not be visible until a moderator has approved it for posting. You will now be taken back to the forum. If you opted to post a poll, you will now be allowed to do so.

what do you think is the reason for this?

Really, I don't know why Skinwalker dragged that old thing out for you. Do you think it's better than a ban or worse?

it is a hypothetical situation. why is this not obvious? beside, did i not ultimately support you over reiku? why so sensitive?

A hypothetical, but a leading one. And as to your support, you seem to flip flop on that. One minute you're 'supportive', the next you're railing against the injustice poor Reiku was subject to in his time here.

So, since nobody understands you, why not clearly state what you're trying to say and can the haiku for at least one post.
One clear, unambiguous post.

And truth be told, I learn a lot from talking to people like Reiku because it makes me understand WHY things are wrong.
Thats what I used to say about carpentry - you have to do it wrong to understand what is right...hopefully without losing limbs!

I really like his insane style of posting.

Is it a german thing?

I dunno. The thing I've noticed about Germans is that they claim not to be patriotic, but when they aren't in Germany, all they can do is bitch about how much better things are in Germany. I think it's pretty funny, actually.
