more like parts per million.

this semen tastes salt because basically the liquid that transports the semen is sea water. Hence you could see the whole ocean as semen with varying sperm levels.

Sea water and the 'liquid' of mammalian semen are analogous. They have the same function. Since mammals do not live in the water any more they have to create their own little oceans. This is called semen, or 'extra yoghurt'.
