There are some racist black and white people I know who are very much against racial mixing. Are there any possible reasons why this could be a legitimate concern for some people/races? Just curious because for a long time it seems people stuck to their own kind and now over the past 20 to 30 years we've totally changed direction as a society. Any thoughts?

Consider the phenotypic transitional areas that lie in between what you allege to be strongholds of "black" and "white". I'm thinking of places around the Mediterranean - how and where are you going to draw a stark line that puts black on one side and white on the other. Gibraltar? The Sinai? Sudan? Australia?
Now consider this perspective; genetic evidence strongly suggests that anatomically modern humans emerged in central Africa a hundred thousand years ago. Sometime around eighty thousand years ago a group of them migrated into the Middle East and over time of course we spread over the whole planet. Now, what color do you suppose those first humans were? Trick question, because the answer is irrelevant. We are the product of very, very slight differentiation of original physical and cultural trait expressions. We're not, as your statements imply, pristine and utterly separate tribes that should not mix.
I'm a little hazy on the finer points of your argument. Are you suggesting and deploring that "racial mixing" threatens to destroy our rich cultural diversity by making it a bland hodgepodge of traits? Or do you just not want your daughter to "marry one" because of what the neighbors would think?
If one group has a genetic disease and married intoto another grioup, would that introduce it to that group, thereby spreading it around?

Nature created the 'strongholds' your talking about. Just look a map of the World. Africa and Europe have no common land bridge. Australia and its people - the Aborigines - are not just separated by geography but by time as well. Hundreds of thousands, possible millions of years of it. It is not possible to undo this with multi-culturalism.
For the most part - the only part which is relevant to this debate - Europe is white and Africa black. Just compare Britain and the Congo. No physical or intellectual commonality exists. Two separate races in two separate places. I don't know what your problem is with white Europeans or Black Africans being what they are.
Humans evolved from different species of primates.
This is why primates have different colored skin underneath their hair.
We were never the same in the first place.

It should dilute it, as even though the mental concept of race is gone, there are different genes as different people from different areas of the world have different genes due to the various elements in the environment.

In the course of human history, it has been reckoned that most people have married someone no more distant that a fourth cousin; that probably has a lot to be said for it.

But in our desperate attempts not to have to face up to the horrifying injustices which Western nations have perpetrated to fill their coffers with gold - and to actually have to do something about it - we prefer the much easier route of liberal multi-culturalism which enables us to hang on to all that wealth and keep Africa enslaved in a system of perpetual debt.
Under this system race is considered not even to exist anymore.
And yet Africa and black people as a whole continue to get poorer.
Under such a system black people will never gain the true human equality that they could living amongst their own.
