Iran seizes 15 British troops in Persian Gulf

That change is happening, whether you think so or not.

Which change? What? Who? Sam, you're a scientist: specify. What are you talking about?

Nope, but neither were the ME burning Jews then.

Nope, they were just quietly and carefully confining them, opening up the respect of their personal rights and 'protection' ('dhimmitude') to any interested party for exploitation and the like, forcing conversions here and there, as was done for every other religious minority, and which continues today. I imagine there were a few burnings; sort of up to the individual imagination of any interested (and muslim, which is to say societally superior) party.

Exactly, so the tolerance has been overshadowed by oppression and suppression by leaders supported by the West, not eliminated by the people themselves.

My point was sarcastic. In the face of the evidence, I can only assume yours was too.

Lots of rhetoric. Any evidence?

Ahh...Argentina?

Hezbollah?

On 3 February 2007 Hezbollah leader Hasan Nasrallah admitted for the first time that the Government of Iran assists Hezbollah with "money, weapons, and training, motivated by a religious fraternity and ethnic solidarity. And the help is funneled through Syria, and everybody knows it."

For a starter.

hype is right, you have absolutely no idea what you are talking about. You expect the Mongols and Ottomans to conform to modern values but have no problem excusing the present day Bush Blair hypocrisy of supporting and arming dictators and insurgents, or Israeli ethnic cleansing of Palestinians, in the best interest of their country.

Perhaps you should join forces with Buffalo Roam.

?? So Iran doesn't support terrorists...because Bush and Blair are evil. That wasn't even tu tuoque. I point out a terrorist attack on Jews about three thousand miles from Iran (no, not 9/11, but AMIA in Argentina this time), which ran the op, and your point is that "well Israelis are evil and Iran has to do what's in its best interests". While ignoring the fact that I don't approve of settler expansion, and categorizing my support of Israeli strikes taking out terrorists as ethnic cleansing.

Right, I think we're done here.

I think Blair is supporting another one of Bush's illegal wars. He could have been provoking Iran by sending troops into Iranian territorial waters. Bush wants war with Iran, and he will do anything to get it, that's his MO.

so why are the british stutterers?

The Iranians take British prisoners declaring that they were inside Iranian waters, and as far as you idiots are concerned the burden of proof falls upon the British that they were not.

The hypocrisy is astounding.

... well, not really. Perhaps "expected" would be a better word.

You mean if the situation were reversed, it would be otherwise?

samcdkey, GPS sam, if the situation was reversed, we would have the GPS data to back up the arrest, why hasn't Iran released the GPS co-ordinates of the arrest of the British Search team? may be because it would show that they were in Iraqi waters?

All in all, this is a tempest in a teacup. The Brits will be returned for the Iranians captured in Iraq, and everyone will go home angrier but wiser. The end.

Geez, I keep hopin' this will escalate into a major, all-out war ...hopefully between the Muslims of the Mid-East and the Western, Christian nations.
