By the way that speedometer thingy is the CPU usage, the small one is the max. the big one is the current. I thought it was cool to have the stockmarket and the temperature up to date on the desktop...
If anyone knows any other USEFUL gadgets, let me know...

How is stockmarket information useful to you? For me it's very boring.

Pretty, Fetus! I always disable that 3D though, it's too impractical for my taste.

Ha! 3D would be more useful if it wasn't on a 2D screen.

And how is every 20 minutes updated stockmarket information useful to you?
Stock market is the new cool, apparently.

Prices at the stock market are an indicator of how the economy is doing. He has the three most important ones showing. If they are down for a certain amount of time, we're in recession; if they're rising too fast, it's also bad; if they're just right, we and the rest of the world are all good. ^__^

Nothing you can't read in a news website, eh.
Imo, instant stockmarket news 24/4 are useful only to brokers.

I know, but I usually don't get further than BBC's Europe page during breakfast, and for the rest of the day it's correspondence with friends.

Summarizing the Philosophy of OS users

Mac OS: "Apple is the greatest thing ever, and Steve Jobs is my god! I'll gladly pay what ever price necessary for Apples hardware because its so cool and shinny. How dare you call me a "Yuppie chimp" why I should take a shit in my hand and throw it at you!"

Linux: "We partake in it because we have the intellect and knowledge base to do so! Mocking ignoramuses that are less intelligent than us provides us much joy, but unfortunately no "tail", if you understand the vernacular."

Windows: "What ever! If it easy to use, and I can play games on it than I really don't care what other people have. Its just a god dam machine! I'm going to go and get drunk and have wild sex with many many women because I have, you know, a life!

Anyway, to answer the thread's question: For the past few months, my desktop has been completely blank, it's a plain green color. I haven't had the time to pick out a nice, big picture. I'm probably just waiting for Avatar to come up with some very lovely nature pic.

Some of the stuff on the desktop is my bro's.
It may look untidy, but I can find anything I want straight away.
The image changes frequently as well.
