I am curious as to if You Tube can be tailored for me to upload videos and not allow for public viewing? I would only like a few people to be able to view the videos.

    Any help is appreciated.

    Yes, you can.
    - Go to your account.
    - Hover the mouse cursor over your screen name (top-right).
    - Choose "My Videos".
    - You now see a list of your uploaded videos, click on "Edit".
    - Scroll down to "Privacy".
    - Set privacy settings to "Private".
    - A maximum of 25 Youtube-friends can now view the video, or just people you send a secret URL to.

Of course, this way you set the privacy settings after you have uploaded a video.
You can also set them as you're uploading it of course.
