Sorry peep's, I was away on business. Back to it then.... DeeCee Good question. Well, the pelt of a Harp Seal is not at question here - it's the 'management'(and i use that term loosley)of wildlife. I mean yeah, it's cruel but as I've stated before life is cruel. Also, the Harp Seal pelt is not a desired one on the open market, that distinction belongs to the Ringed Seal (If you've seen (and smelt) the pelts of both you'd understand why). You're right, you can't empathise 'with' a seal. I suggested people have empathy 'for' the seal. I know, that's being a bit of a stickler but there is a difference.
