Would you mind giving me some feed back? I like to draw, and i would wish you could give me some comments because i never had the (lol) guts to show my work to anyone. I make it all in paintshop, and i ONLY use the paintbrush. I would really apreciate it, even if you axe me and tell me to stop posting trash. *Thanks* http://home.chello.no/~nasty/skyggeland.gif http://home.chello.no/~nasty/smerte.gif http://home.chello.no/~nasty/stuckinevil.gif http://home.chello.no/~nasty/stirr.gif Give me a comment on each pic if you would be so kind!
A little too noir for my tastes, but otherwise looks good. If you like it, it doesn't matter if others don't. Nothing ventured, nothing gained.
The first one has some merit. The others are interesting but not much to them. Keep on drawing and draw something else that you like. Post more as you can.
Nice drawings Judas, I liked them all. The faces were quite captivating to look at, the last one with those round eyes especially, a bit frightening, in a good way.
alright, 1st pic: LOVE IT! Very inspiring in a dark dark way. 2nd pic: didn't do nothng for me. 3rd pic: Now this one, has definite potential. I liked it. 4th pic: too damn scarey! creepy!! now if that's what you wanted to convey, then it's good.
Yeah the first on is the best. The others are all good drawings, but a little grotesque. Good though! Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image!
id like to start this by saying, PLEASE take what i say with a grain of salt. Although critiques are my one of my favorite parts of the creative process, since you know nothing about me or my artistic background (nor i of yours) my comments are ultimately meaningless. That being said, here i go. To me the first picture stood out as the strongest, both in balance and concept. I especially enjoyed the way the texture of the background (scratchy and hard) was contrasted with the foreground (soft and smoke-like). I also thought the composition was quite good but could have been treated differently for (arguably) better effect. Ive attatched versions of "skyggeland.gif" that i cropped in a couple different ways to give you a few examples of what i think are ways to adjust the composition in a slightly more dynamic way. messing with someone else's work is as close to a sin as one can get in the art world so please don't be angry. i just needed a visual to bring my thoughts, on your composition, across more easily. the other pictures feel a bit ... computerish to me, what i mean is it seems a bit like the tools you used to create these images dictated the look of the finished product more than the concept itself. Now thats not always a bad thing but they don't feel quite as tight and well composed as the first picture. again, im just some faceless guy so take what you will from my comments. buff BTW - brave of you to do this, im not sure id have the nuts to do it myself.
Thanks for the review Buffy`s. when i make the pictures i really dont think about composision, I just make em. Perhaps i should start paying attention to it from now on. I think the first picture would loose some of its expression of "space" Andre, that it would not seam like an open space but inside of a room. (IMHO) Buffy`s i would like to thank you for your comments, gave me some pointers for me to follow in order for me to become a better artist. Heheh, amateur that is, i only spend like 10 hours a month drawing. And mostly under the "herbal" influencePlease Register or Log in to view the hidden image! *lights fat one*
Judas: Ganske godt! Noget clichepræget, men lovende. ). Med venlig hilsen, Hans PS: Åh, og pas lidt på med "urterne" Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image! ... de løser op for nogen ting, men jeg har endnu aldig set nogen lave hverken bedre kunst eller håndværk med dem.

Judas, i know many so called "professional" artists who spend less time at their craft so don't feel bad. In my experience the best way to get better is to draw constantly, take a sketch pad with you where ever you go. It doesn't matter what you draw really, just do it as often as you can (if its fun for you that should be easy). School is a great way to understand the "rules" and history of art and i recommend it but it really comes down to just drawing a lot and consistently - to me this is where the true artists get separated from the posers. keep it up, you can't lose if you love doing it. buff
The first is very dramatic and moody, it works. The rest i am not too sure about, they look simple and just plain.
