    I don't know about California, but 90% of the states are theistic; there is no way they'd vote for anyone but a Christian white male.:shrug:

    That is a silly thing to say, there are plenty of nonwhite, nonmale House and Senate members.

    Americans in general do not like atheists. Atheists are probably the least trusted religious stance.

    I don't really care about the religous belief of the commander in chief as long as he respects the beliefs of others and is not planning a human sacrafice in the near or distant future.

    Would I? Sure - if (s)he was qualified and had ideals which aligned with my own. That's all that matters to me.

    Would America? Not any time in the forseeable future. An atheist may get plenty of votes in cities and on the coasts, but middle America would not have it.
