College Students Design Future Aircraft in NASA Competition

HAMPTON, Va. -- Sixty-one students from 14 colleges and universities around the globe have imagined what the next generation of airliners and cargo planes may look like.

Fourteen teams and two individual students submitted their designs in the annual competition sponsored by NASA's Fundamental Aeronautics Program, part of the agency's Aeronautics Research Mission Directorate.

The highest scoring graduate team was from Georgia Tech in Atlanta. Undergraduate team honors went to Virginia Tech in Blacksburg, Va.

Because I don't like it. I have devoted my life to life.

 

I need someone who will risk their life...and do anything...to get into space.

space is also part of life...just think of the possibilities.

yes. I need like-minded people...who are dreamers, yet are intelligent mathematicians and engineers and scientists to be useful for space.

Earth is a tiny fragment of what life really is. Think of what space has to offer...be the one to explore space and make sure we treat animals and other species in universe the right moral way.

 

Don't you think NASA will provide them when you get there ?

 

The right moral treatment for any possible creatures on other worlds is to leave them alone.
We would just destroy them as well.

 

no...NASA focus is for government benefit. I need someone who seeks space exploration for the benefit of science and exploration and dreams and has knowledge and experience to do so.
