probably very similar to that of a problematic spammer/troll. in cases where they log in with multiple similar IPs(as they would without a static ip) Ips are banned on the first 3 groups. if you pass on your IP to stryder or plasma they can sort it out for you.

Only the Administrators can Ban via IP, it's possible they've banned an Entire block and your IP just happens to be in that block. I don't think anyone's banned you *personally* (Meaning they haven't singled *you* out)

Are you getting a "Banned by IP" message or is the site just not resolving at home. If it isn't then it's likely a DNS problem.

 

I was hoping that was the case(blocked a whole class B,C or something). I don't even know my IP off hand and I suspect it changes now and then(my ISP is DHCP).

The other thing is Shorty_37 lives at the same house(using the same IP). I assumed it might be that, though there is no secret about that and she's been posting for like 6-7 months.

It seems to be ok now.......and here I wondered what I said yesterday :bugeye:

It said if I remember correctly....Administrator banned IP address.

 

Apparently Plazma's fixed it now. A whole Range of addresses had been blocked via Class and yours just happened to fall in it. It happens from time to time, usually when certain posters overkill with sockpuppet's that won't stay banned unfortunately it means some people can get locked out if they fall in the same range as them
