Why do they work as pornstars?

I was only showing Killjoy who said:

Children and other types of people who are under duress can be easily manipulated to becomming so called "stars" in something they really have no control over due to circumstances beyond their control. Many addicts are made to do porn work for their next fix as just another example.

Los Angeles for one thing is where all the pornstars are at.

People who have a large world view, ultimately will face a problem of setting margins in their life of what is acceptable and what is not...and most can't handle that so they succumb to total freedom to do anything they want. The results speak of themselves for such people.

Porn stars are occasionally discovered and make the transition to mainstream TV. One of the stars on a popular soap opera was originally in porno. We were googling her one day and up popped a bunch of shots from porn movies. What a surprise! Damn was she beautiful and sexy! I'm sure the company who hired her made a lot of money off of her films.

Eventually all the porno shots disappeared. Presumably the TV network reached an agreement with the porno company and paid them to remove the shots.

Incidents like this keep the dream alive among other young girls, that if they become successful at porno they might get lucky and become real stars.

No, I'm not going to tell you this girl's name. I like her so I'm going to do her a favor. Lots of people have done favors for me throughout my life, so I can afford to do one for somebody else, even if she'll never know it.

    Ya done good, Sweetie.

I take it that you don't see that as shallow. An over time depressing, not to mention that they take several episodes just for one 10-15 min clip. No one could last as long as them with out stopping an then continuing. An sometimes I don't doubt some females get hurt an insurance can't be good its all out degrading an very sad.... An what about the "scenes" there cheap an fake an half the time the paired people are not there types. Ridiculous that they live the high life without guilt an shame. Now I would think they do drug screens. But how do you "perform" with out them. You are a paid slut going at it all day. It can't be "fun"..

you can't last so long as to become a pornstar without having it being "fun". Once margins of morality are crossed, the same rules do not apply.

they are certainly not illegal. otherwise U.S.A would not be so famous for them.

That is not true in most of the Western world. Pornography is big business in the USA. The market is comparable in size to the market for regular entertainment.

If you sell porn materials to people below the age of 18, would it be an offence?

Yes, over 18 only. Most porn stars do it for the money. And it can be fun. And they probably don't care what their parents think if they still talk to them.

Hollie Stevens, 30, an adult film actress known for clown-themed porn has died from cancer. Before her death, Stevens said she hoped people would remember her for more than her choice of work.

So even she thought she was doing something wrong if she expressed that sentiment at her death. Terrible waste of life but that's what she chose to be doing.

RIP Hollie Stevens, the pornstar who had a dream to be remembered for something she wasn't.

No, she died and that's all that happened to her. It is unfortunate she felt the way she did about what she was doing , as I have pointed out in my past posts on this thread, but it is what she chose to do.

She chose to do stupid thing.
You can do anything, but the consequences will judge you, did you make the right choice?

There are few consequences for such a career choice. There is a slim risk of HIV and other diseases, but it's probably safer then most people's sex lives. Of course, there is no heaven or hell either.

The question isn't whether or not I made the right choice but if you do in your own life. Asking others what their lives brought them won't make yours any better or worse.

Mine has been full of errors and fortunate experiences that I've learned from. Without both experiences I wouldn't be who I am today, a learning person still trying to figure it all out and will still make errors to learn from. :itold:

No, I didn't. I didn't do anything spectacular that would make God mad and glorify Satan the Lord of This World, and that makes me sad.

A prisoner did not care about laws when he broke the laws, but the laws will put him in prison after that.

You made the wrong choice, you go to hell! This is the law.

The part about the demand side is true enough - but the supply side is a different story. It is definitely illegal to produce pornography in most parts of the Western World. That's why almost all such pornography is produced in a handful of places (California, specific European countries, etc.). Try to produce pornography anywhere else in the West, and you'll immediately run afoul of laws against solicitation and so on, and go to prison.
