A co-worker just told me about this. If you go to http://www.unthinkkfc.com/, you can print up a coupon for a free 2 piece grilled chicken dinner with 2 sides and a biscuit. You have to download a little coupon printing program, but it's safe. It some kind of deal they did on the Oprah show.

Hey...it's free food, for those of us trying to pinch a penny.

Would you consider using a free coupon at KFC for your mom on mothers Day? lol. My mom would probably say, Yeah! Lets go!!!
But really, would you do that on Mother's Day for your mom?

Alvin Hansen, the "American Keynes," an economist, first coined the phrase in 1952.

    That's who said it.

The point being that *someone* is paying for that meal, even if it happens to be at no cost to you, personally.

Ok...so it's not free to KFC...but the retail cost to us is free.

Next time I'll make the thread title "Free fucking food, you nitpicking bastards"

    Wiki sez ....

Wikipedia attributes the phrase to Heinlen in 1966, and Walter Morrow and Pierre Dos Utt on separate occasions in 1949. There is also an attribution to economist Leonard P. Ayres in 1946. The phrase apparently refers to a passage from Kipling, ca. 1891, which described how one could get a "free lunch" in a saloon by purchasing a drink.
