All these countries carrying out wars in this economy, who pays for these wars?

Israel just spent 4.5 billion in the three weeks in Gaza, I don't even know what kind of bill the US is racheting up in Afghanistan, Iraq and now, Pakistan.

With no money, how are these wars paid for? Especially by the US? But even by Israel?

And what happens to the war budget in a sinking economy? Does it go up or down?

Then that will add interest to the money borrowed as cost of war. Whats the latest tally for Iraq and Afghanistan? How much is borrowed? Does anyone even care?

if, for example, Russia went to war then its armed services bill is pretty much the same as if they were on standby.

Over several years. 4 billion NIS is approx a little more than 1 billion USD. The Americans gave Musharraf 5 billion USD over 10 years.

The Israelis get about 3 billion USD a year presently and you can see cumulative in the link provided by PieAreSquared
