I picked Star Trek, but Lord of the Rings would have been nice too. Imagine to have unlimited acces to holodeck, very addictive. Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image!
Can't disagree there. But do you think people on average would become Holodeck addicts if we ever came up with such a thing? I know I wouldn't I like reality, problems and all. The I would use it maybe even frequently. Maybe we'd mentaly evolve as a species to a point where we wouldn't become addicted. I don't know.......
Missed one. My most favourite Universe would be <a href="http://www.glorantha.com">Glorantha</a> where <a href="http://www.glorantha.com/library/religions/cult-thed.html">Thed</a> is a God of Chaos. Fear my <a href="http://www.glorantha.com/library/priests/broo.html">Broo</a> and my diseases. None walk the land in safety whilst I live.
Terry Pratchett! I like Discworld, from Terry Pratchett's series, Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image! , a world balanced on the back of 4 elephants riding on the back of a giant turtle gliding through space. Elves are evil bastards from another dimension, werewolves and zombies are functioning members of society, dwarf "women" are discriminated against, and Death is a hilarious character that appears every so often. shit I voted farscape it leaped out a me for some odd reason but If I could revote I would go with D&D mmmmmmmm magic and swords.
I was going to say starship troopers because of how easy it seams to get the women to take their tops off.
What about the world of Narnia? The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe? remember those tales....C.S. Lewis
I voted for farscape because FARSCAPE ROCKS~! But its to chaotic to live in. Id much rather live in a calm place where I dont have to have a job, like the startrek universe. But id live in the farscape universe to, ahh the life of a peacekeeper.
I vote The Stand scenario/universe. The movie reminded me ALOT about "Earth Abides" by Stewart. Great book. Basically, almost all of humanity is whiped out, and they start over again. I think i'd like to be one of the few that survive, to start over. Ya know? I dunno. My second choice would be D&D. Who wouldnt like to be able to be a wizard, fuck an elf, be eaten by a dragon or look for treasure in a dark and gloomy dungeon along with 9 other "heroes"? I voted Star Trek for the same reason as a lot of other people, I like an easy life. Farscape is appealing because it's such a great programme, but there are just too many enemies to be made.
Yeah, in the world of Farscape life would just be way too hard, in star trek it's like "ooookay I'm cool I've got a holodeck with some holoporn I'll just grab some romulan ale and have at it...." Man I need a life. Oh, wait, I've already got one!
Which universe.. I think that I would choose the MARVEL comic universe. That way whenever I , as a insignificant in a gaggle of fleeing weaklings, could futilily hope that some conflict-ridden freak with powers that they dimly understand might descend from sky and destroy the concrete certainty of immediate and painful death.
