I'm going with the Nintendo Revolution because of the motion sensitive controller

Sticking with the PC. It's always been 2 steps ahead of the game

If I do get one, it'll probably be the revolution. But then.. no time for games

I heard that the PS3 will blow the doors off the new X360, as the X-box did with the PS2?

I'll buy another couple of xboxs (current version), I assume prices will drop when 360 comes out. But not for video games. I'll install modchips and use them as media centers. The modded xbox I have is the best thing since sliced bread. I have it networked to my main PC by wifi. I stream all types of media online and installed. It plays EVERYTHING.

Can't wait for modchips for 360!! aaahhhhhhh.

Downside for PS3 is the lack of a single online subscription service. 360 and Rev both seem to have these.

PC will forever and always bitch slap consoles up and down the yard except for when it comes to racing games and beat 'em ups. But they're all the same nowadays.

    Q;

the ps2 was far superior to the xbox, it just lacked internet access.

On paper the PS2 was inferior, but it had much better developer support.

I thought the xbox had a lot more processing power than the ps2?

For example, if you look at the recent versions of Ghost Recon, the latest version for the ps2 can only handle single player mode.

Don't you dare mention the PS2 and XBox versions of GR2...in my eyes that wasn't a Ghost Recon game.

XBox was more powerful than the other consoles but as someone said, the PS3 had better developer support and was marketed better. Also, the Xbox was compared alot to PCs of the time and it was out of date before it even hit the shelves.

I'm sticking with the PC. No console can beat my gaming setup.

And I wouldn't go with the new Playstation. They'll prolly go under later. A lot of game developers are sticking with or moving to the XBox since it's much easier to code rather than the having to start everything from scratch with the PS. It costs way too much to develop a PS game because of that. The XBox will have all the more and better games with so many moving towards it.

I'm doing the same except softmodding, I want one in every room I have a TV(4). I've had one in my lounge room for the last two years and it's average use has been a couple of hours a days. It hardly ever gets used for games. I'll upgrade to the 360 when it's moddable too

I've just seen some newspaper ads today announcing the Xbox 360 will hit the market Nov. 22.

    Features:

    - three separate core processors that clock in at 3.2 GHz each.
    - custom ATI graphics processor that clocks in at 500 MHz.
    - more than four times as many polygons as the original Xbox.
    - more than four times the number of pixels per second.
    - The 512 MB of RAM in Xbox 360 is eight times more powerful than the original Xbox.
    - all games are optimized for the 16:9 widescreen viewing ratio.
    - hard drive boasts a whopping 20 GB of space.
    - system supports CDs, DVD-ROMs, DVD-R/RW, MP3s, JPEGs, and more.
    - boasts three multi-purpose USB ports.
    - lightweight wireless controllers - a rechargeable controller battery.
    - hard drive is backward-compatible for an array of original Xbox titles.

Major Nelson, who did a nifty comparison (with charts and everything) where he concludes, "When you break down the numbers, Xbox 360 has provably more performance than PS3."

This was the same argument used when PS2 came out and everyone touted it would fail and Dreamcast would remain the developers console of choice.

Developers will go where the money is, where the audience is...specs don't mean much really.
