You are an idiot and stop spinning facts. Carter was right there in the middle and without the promise of the US military and economic aide the treaty wouldn't have happened. Carter was pres between 77-81 and the treaty was in 79, right in the fucking middle: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Egypt–Israel_Peace_Treaty Tell me it would have happened without Carter. You know what, just keep your mouth shut....
??????? A report of what, news? No, what you get is a lie, (Not News) created by personal biased perspective.
How odd, here in the UK you don't even need cable or satellite subscription to get Al Jazeera English, its on free-to-air terrestial channels (Freeview).
I don't know what happened to my previous post on this, but Mubarak was elected with 86.6 percent of the vote. Don't you think that is a little high if it were a free election? And the guy has servered some 30 years as president. That is a long time for a man with an economy as bad as that of Egypt. I think it is widely conceeded that elections have not been open and not fair in Egypt for decades. And that is a big part of the problem.
Interesting memories about how Bush was played by the Saudis and Egyptians when he wanted to give a tough speech in Cairo: http://www.thedailybeast.com/blogs-...n-egypts-mubarak-too/?cid=hp:beastoriginalsL1 he eventually watered down the speech...
They probably don't show it because people don't watch it Al Jazeera could do with a bit of rebranding. You know the channel far better than me Sam. I have only watched it as a main news channel this week. Previously I might dip in and out, but it has caught hold of me. I think it has developed, and improved since it began. Some of which has been done by copying techniques from American News channels. It has been hugely impressive during the Egyptian Crisis. I was very sad to hear their cameras had been confiscated this week. The name Al Jazeera and the Arabic logo suggest to the Western mind a number of things. None good. Either Islamist extremism, a channel toeing the line of some corrupt Arabic State, or a proselytising religious channel. I know nothing could be farther from the truth, but that is the case. The channel is one of the last bastions of good journalism, and people should not be turned away from it for trivial reasons. Suggestion: Call the English version the Middle Eastern News Channel Drop the Arabic logo.

America needs more journalists. The country's newspapers and TV have been taken over by the establishment. No conspiracy, except the oldest conspiracy. You are one of us, or you aren't. I am ashamed to say that the BBC is no longer a reliable source of news. Threats of fund cutting have castrated it. Al Jazeera, at the moment, has journalists. I doubt that Murdoch will be able to take it over.
not only your BBC, ALL YOUR NEWS MEDIA! YOUR NEWS SUCKS! not only aljazeera, alarabiya too, and some others maybe
So its not enough that they present it in a language you can understand, they must shed their identity and symbols as well. Don't ask for much, do you? I think its a good thing its available in English. If people don't want to watch it because they wish to saturate themselves in their bigotry, they should still be given the option to make that decision for themselves. Its not a decision that should be made by corporate administrators or government bureaucrats. After all, its not like AJE depend on American viewership to survive, there are plenty of other people who watch it as well
Okay al Jazeera reporting live from Egypt: source: Adam Horowitz @ Mondoweisss The good news from my perspective is that the army has refused to use force against protestors.
As they shouldn't as they are drafted from the public and to use force on the public would mean having to harm their own brothers (very few women out on the streets in Egypt, not like Tunisia, so few sisters would be harmed).
Actually; One Million Protesters: Victory! Freedom at last! Muslim Brotherhood: We have seized power! Installation: of a government controlled by Iran USA:Congratulations, make sure you don't vote for Islamists. Iran: Attacks Israel with nukes. Israel: Nuke's Tehran and Cairo! Cut scene *mushroom cloud* Cool Blue Glow over the middle east. One Million Protesters: Er, Mubarak please come back. To Late: Defecation has already hit the rotating oscillation, and everyone now has a cool new complection, a soft blue glow.
