    They might have you never know see that was over jews while the Civil war involved black slaves so they could have possibly fought the nazis.

    I doubt that, they would have bought into the notion of certain races being more advanced than others.

    To some, it's a symbol of states' rights and self determination. To others, it's the symbol of a nation that was formed specifically to preserve slavery.

    I think both views have some merit. It's pretty obvious that the Civil War itself was about slavery, but symbols can mean different things to different people.

    It is not a symbol of slavery, but there are some people that associate it with slavery.

    Just like how many people associate this as Japanese expansionism.

    Very true, there were certain groups in England that were in favour of making a pact with them as well.
