In the modern times, the art of war has been improved, weapons, dress, technology, camerawork...etc. But have you thought how would have been the war of yester years, much earlier than japan- russia war of 1910. I was imagining a fascinating imagination of a war of the worlds. Battleground india, year 1500 a.d. The scenario is- many indian cavalries and footsoldiers(ordinary men) of different regions resting in hutments. Just then a huge islamic soldier is seen on a horse. The marathi regiment blows horns and starts taking defensive positions. Its not like as portrayed in tv, all the brutality and bloodthurst. Neither there were guns nor big cannons were used. Only cartwheel cricketball cannons were used to diminish the swordsmen concentration and strength. Then at a distance islamic army was seen gathering. They too sounded their war chants and charged the marathi indians. But instead started sparring dance for hours. One huge islamic fighter was defencing with ten marathi swordsmen. Many a times one islamic horseback soldier used to intrude and slash some marathi armymen, but never killed. So a week passed and in the dark night, when the islamic and indian armies had ceasefired, a huge navy was seen coming towards indian coast. They were the armies of spaniol and portugal. They wore just a loin cloth and a greek like helmet. They had no language to speak and befitted to some charlie chaplin quick movie. The spaniol and portugal didn't swordfight, only were seen throwing olympic javelines like monkeys towards islamic and marathi indian army! After one and a half month, from a distance many nearby war clans were seen trying to participate in war. They were sikh khalsa and bhaiya kiya fighters. They took out their weapons and exhibited. Many islamic and marathis were taken aback. Archery too started with lightweight arrows which could injure the islamic warriors armour, mainly the archers were far away. They were from north-east india chinese descent. Then three months passed and the news went to european armies, that still no one killed. Then through north india, the british, french were seen marching with bayonet-single shot guns and napoleanic revolvers. They never hurried, instead shelled huge cannonballs to attract the islamic army towards them. But before islamic army could turn towards british, french...a squeel was heard. From a distance army of south india were seen with elephants, small war pigs...were gnawing to get a taste of white skin. Many britishers, french were gashed and were seen firing napoleanic muskets. The south indian army started yoga asanas as fighting measures. Then the britishers, french too started to sword fight with everyone on battlefield. After some killings and some losses; the britishers,french cursed for results. Even turned the cannons towards naked spaniols, portugese army who were retreating to their ships running marathon speeds of 5seconds per 100meter. Six months had passed, and everyone thought of leaving the battle...at a distance a contingent of chinese army came. The chinese army even comprised of some bearded russian and german generals. The chinese soldiers instead of fighting were doing somersaults and acrobats for a week. So the battling armies neglected chinese lunatics and went away. Many injured were lying on the field and trying to move with their contingents. But from nowhere africans, pigmy army swinged poison tipped arrows and consumed flesh. After a year, the romans came to know of this great islamic war and ordered its army to prepare(pizza).
I think after 1960, many wars which took place were just elements of mediocracy. The ordinance which was used was mainly just equivalent to the firecrackers. Many modern tanks and fighteraircrafts are used for just namesake, and its ordinance is just dud. This results in lesser casualties and extended period of wars to useless decade!
