    My Dad used it when he talked about the Irish, but he used it other rimes as well. I thought is was the same as 'idiot'
    So does this mean Idiot would have been changed in the title as well?

    Why does Oli have all the answers? Oli was it you complaining? What do you have against the term wanker?

    I think its a very democratic terms since it can be used willy nilly to describe idiots everywhere.

    Nothing, unless it's used out of context or incorrectly, as with any other word.

    The title was changed because for one it was complained about, but also because we do have a rule to try and keep the profanity down on the forum.

    While it is indeed true that many people in the UK probably do participate in the recreational past time of stimulating their genitalia, I wouldn't be surprised if the same couldn't be said for the rest of the world at large.

    Please take it into consideration that while we the moderators and Sciforums as a whole loves your input, discussions and continued visitation here. We'd love to try and look a little bit more professional at running a forum than www.blatantlyprofaneforums.com* (highly rhetorical and non-existent example)
