remember the people who sued rescuers for saving their life when they had a heart attack.
claiming they should be able to sue the person for the family to get the life-insurance pay-out money off the rescuer ?

what country allows such a case to be heard in court ?

You didn't like the bullying so why do you talk negatively about society, passive behavior and sheep?

I get it that you fought back (who doesn't?) but there whole subject is really just about adapting to reality. Most people understand the concepts that you are discussing and yet have (apparently) adapted better to them than others.

Society=hidden bullies who punish you for fighting back.

Im more about adapting reality than adapting to it. Basically I am about creating utopias out of shitshows such as the human race.

IMO, perhaps looking at it from a mirroring perspective might help. Empathy is the ability to internally "mirror" another's emotions, feelings, intentions and physical behavior as if they were your own.

This is why we wince when we see someone hit their thumb with a hammer. Our brain causes the release of the same chemicals in our own body as the victim who actually has to deal with the pain. We produce saliva watching another eat a tasty morsel. We imitate a boxer's moves watching a boxing match. We get aroused watching two other people making love. We literally place ourselves in the other person's reality.

It's quite remarkable, it is not just emotional, it is literally a physical mirroring experience. If it is just emotional identification, then its called "sympathy", but that is one step removed.

It has nothing to do with intelligence, it's just a matter of being able to relate and physically respond appropriately.

    avoid eating the poisonous food
avoid being injured by the wild animal when you try to stab it to death, over and over and over again... stabbing and stabbing and stabbing...
as blood flies everywhwere and it thrashes around and kills one of your hunting party whos sexual slave girl is the cave toilet cleaner...
and when they die the sexual slave cave toilet cleaner is beaten to death by the other cave women because the alpha female has not been hit in the face a few times by the alpha male as they return to the cave to make her fear attacking the young sexual slave girl for being a sexual rival and then the entire tribe die of ecoli poisoning.

all because 1 of the hunting party lacked empthy

    etc etc...

Yes, sometimes it just takes a single act to set an entire domino effect in motion. Clearly demonstrated during sports events, where 50,000 act as one and go nuts when their team scores. Every individual is internally scoring that goal. We just love that rush of adrenaline or dopamine.

Obviously zombies have damaged "mirror neural networks", they act the same singly or in groups......

Just about everyone I've known who was an emotional mess before starting a course of anti-depressants... has still been a mess ever since. Maybe they should switch to vitamin water.

IMO, stampedes are mass expression of the mirror neural function. A school of fish can move as if it is a single organisms.
As I understand it, it is a completely involuntary response mechanism. You cannot want to be empathic, you are or you're not in various areas and degrees of shared experiences and emotional responses. Stub your toe once really hard and you will produce the same physical response every time you see someone else stub their toe thereafter.

I'm confident that it plays a great part in shaping our social structure.

This NOVA clip may explain better.

Some are the same for now, some are worse mostly due to things not improving in their lives as they get older. I don't know anyone who was ever in a deep state of depression who credits pills for helping them recover, nor have I ever seen a magical turnaround in a depressed person who started taking pills. They never worked for me either when I tried them myself in the past, and at the various times when I gave them a try, in various different dosages, brands and combinations, I was pretty desperate for a boost. Some of these people ended up dying, usually from drug overdoses, including a former roommate, and many of those who are still alive wouldn't be so if they had a button they could push to die reliably and painlessly; I credit the pills for nothing.

No, sorry, psychiatrists are not scientists and it's incredibly pompous for them to call themselves such, just like it would be if the cardinals of the Vatican were to start proclaiming themselves to be scientists. The difference is that the medical community at large tends to listen to these people, and clueless uneducated politicians take the medical community's recommendations as gospel. Psychiatric evaluations are more about moral judgments than scientific diagnoses. Wanna die because everyone's an asshole to you and you're stuck in a position within society with absolutely no realistic prospect for advancement? Something must be wrong with your brain. Acting out because you don't like being abused by peers or family? Mental illness, ADHD etc. Have political views contrary to the goals of the leadership (i.e. Nazi Germany, Soviet Union, China, USA coming soon)? Mental illness, pills to the rescue (or a nice comfy cell)!

What kind of a mentally deficient retard thinks that pills are adequate and enforceable substitutes for having a fulfilling and rewarding life, and a place of dignity within society? Quack psychiatrists who don't understand what the placebo effect is, and push drugs for the big companies that fly them out to resort seminars, that's who.

You don't tell people to shut up and get over it when they're raped, do you? What if it happened 10 years ago but the perp is still out enjoying a consequence-free life?

I don't think psychiatrists call themselves scientists do they? They are medical doctors. If they do research then they are scientists I suppose. Most doing research are in neuroscience.

I don't think pills are supposed to be a magic cure all. People who are clinically depressed don't have a lot of options since there really isn't (presently) a cure.

None of that has anything to do with having an unpopular political viewpoint however.

No, what does that have to do with the subject at hand. No one is telling anyone to shut up and get over it.

    opiod addiction and suicide rate...
some might suggest its already there.

though... i tend to be leaning more toward the capitalist user pays health system that drives the bulk of opiod addiction because it places long term solutions out of financial reach.
be those operations or psychiatric therapy.
along with lack of social security.
if a person has to stop work to have an operation will they lose their house, job & kids etc...
#1 forclosure on USA mortgages is medical expenses so ive read several times.

the economic model is addicted to profit margin
the patients are addicted to the opiods
the voters are addicted to bi-partisan ideologies
    etc etc
its not an easy solution if you want to keep all the big corporates happy.
its do-able but the type of president who is capable of delivering that type of systemic change is probably never going to be interested in running for president assuming for a moment they rise to the top of the party.

the system doesnt reward charitable people who want to help others.
it rewards selfish people who want to keep everything to themselves.

Forgive me if I'm misunderstanding you, but you seem to be implying that one's inability to cope with a given situation is somehow an automatic indicator of a mental defect on that individual's part. That sounds like victim-blaming to me. One could play the same game with black slaves too- how come they didn't just accept things and cope?
