When I'm not passing stool, I will. As it were, the strictly beef only Korean barbecue I had yesterday successfully passed through my system after being reasonably processed. And while enjoying the tenderly sliced brisket, I assure you, I was not considering whether the blade had sliced cleanly through the animals neck or missed it by several inches, thus prolonging its agony while the animals behind watched in undiluted horror.
So you eat meat and veggies. How does that make you a strict carnivore ? There is hope for you yet. One day you'll be ready to join Peta's ranks Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image!
I'd have to be shackled for that. As someone who grew up watching her grandmother casually behead chickens for dinner or the local chicken/duck vendor kill and pluck chickens and ducks, or the annual goat sacrifice for Eid which was carried out by someone or the other in our backyard, I have no tender sensibilities when it comes to animal food. I'll eat the parts that no one else will (thinks of yummy mashed brains and fried intestines) Its what I love about Chinese food (the authentic one that is) never know what that thinly sliced meaty looking stuff in your dish will turn out to be Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image!
Sometimes people manage to free themselves of doctrine. Anyway, I'm not sure why you brought up the strictly carnivore part since it's obviously not true. Mashed brain ? Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image!pukePlease Register or Log in to view the hidden image!
Strict does not mean exclusive, does it? I meant in the sense of never being otherwise. Mashed brains, yep. Tastiest when mashed over an iron griddle with lots of onion, tomato, ginger and garlic, a pinch of garam masala to enhance the flavor and a fresh warm naan to scoop up the mouthfuls. There was a time you could go to Lazeez and get a whole brain sliced into five pieces.
That's not for me.. yikes.. As for the word 'strictly', it actually does. http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/strictly
I stand corrected. Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image! I guess having worked in hospitals and with vets, lived with injured animals and sick people, seeing death and suffering, I'm pragmatic about such things. I think suffering should be reduced, both for people and animals because all of us are part of a circle of life that is all inclusive. I've seen too many idealistic notions fall apart and have become more of a realist, though I hope I am not too cynical. So I believe we should do our bit with passion and dedication and let the rest take care of itself.
That is why I never eat Chinese food. We used to live by a Chinese restaurant before we moved. Everyone used to joke when another cat in the neighbourhood went missing! :bugeye: As for the Turtles and the Bears, it is a shame. I find it hard to watch videos about animal cruelty. Those ones weren't very graphic but, some of them I have seen, I can barely watch. It is true though. If something was going on like that in CANADA it would be on every News Channel and Front Page of every newspaper. They make a big deal when somebody tortures their dog or the humane society has to rescue 40 cats from a house. That is nothing compared to this kind of thing.
