This has got to be the quintessential 'Free Thoughts' thread. It is truly free of the encumbrances of logic, fact or rationality.
Wrong. Plants have various defences against animals and insects. No. Flattened grass stands itself up again in a while, as long as it is not actually damaged. Plants often do things slowly, but they move around and react to things. You probably haven't noticed.
Gardening is one of my favourite hobbies, plants have personality. Science have the answers in this department. It is a completely natural process which gives the plant its personality. For example. Some plants seem to be "tougher" than other plants. When you observe this it is pretty interesting. I've struggled growing most of my veg this year but I planted late, still there seems to be a star cauliflower coming through nicely. I have one tomato plant, it's just been dying but new leaves are coming out of the bottom that are healthy, the only leaves on the plant left(2.5 feet tall). I've got a battler. Same things happened with my flowers.
