    Also:

Unlike most other cephalopods, the majority of octopuses — those in the suborder most commonly known, Incirrina — have almost entirely soft bodies with no internal skeleton. They have neither a protective outer shell like the nautilus, nor any vestige of an internal shell or bones, like cuttlefish or squid. A beak, similar in shape to a parrot's beak, is the only hard part of their body. This enables them to squeeze through very narrow slits between underwater rocks, which is very helpful when they are fleeing from morays or other predatory fish. The octopuses in the less familiar Cirrina suborder have two fins and an internal shell, generally reducing their ability to squeeze into small spaces.

Japanese porn is very disturbing. With the violent raping of school girls (not always high school either) and women with gigantic breasts. Are they perhaps overly compensating for something?

I know, right? What's up with the crazy Japs. I mean, raw fish? Who came up with that? Like, do they even know how to spell "grotesque"? (I bet you they don't!) And how is it that people in west coast America in fancy suits are into that stuff these days? Give me red meat and taters any day. I, for one, like my food to be wholesome. Yessir. As wholesome as some of the early periodical covers. [As first time visitor I'm not allowed to post links. So if you don't mind, just enter francesca dot net slash pulp dot html, no spaces. Don't worry, they're work safe.]

Still, you gotta wonder where those Japs get some of their. One idea floating around the net says it's the H-bomb. I'm inclined to believe they just got exposed to '80s B movies too much too soon. Anybody remember the evil tree from the Evil Dead? Looks exactly like a hentai video without the clothes off. While we're on the subject, would someone please enlighten us on this strange fixation viewers seem to have with this genre called "torture porn"? Why do people keep pouring into theaters for that?

So is Japanese porn, any worse than our own bizarre sick porn?

As in compensating for something that they perceive they lack?

When I read of "tentacles" I thought of tentacles in the sense that human population tends to extend "tentacles" throughout the land. A few people build homes, alongside a road, then a few more, next thing you know there's an entire village, and towns are coelescing into vast cities, sending out still more "tentacles" of population growth, along the roads emanating out from them. Of course all that is well and good, if you are one of the many humans getting to live as a result.

Japan has more people than acres of land. Do maybe they see their land being covered with "tentacles?" Probably not, as much of it probably isn't all that crowded, well except for some subway systems and a few big cities.

Or maybe Japanese society just isn't erotic enough, too formal or something, and so they "compensate" in their silly porn fantasies. Porn, BTW, is far more about fantasy than reality. And probably more about men's fantasies, as there doesn't seem to be much "female perspective" evident yet?
