An 'orrid monstrosity which tried to ambush me this morning while I was readying the old veggie garden for another go this year by lurking behind a brick which I'd used as part of the border for the "cultivated" area.

I don't know why, but they always remind me of an octopus. 8 legs, big bulbous part...

Not overly fond of this next type - another denizen of my backyard last Summer - but I like the "ground pounders" for some reason.
The specimin below looks like something that might infest the depths of Hell.
Neat markings on its back, tho'.

It's 'cos they are the "senseis of sitting still"...

I had to shoo the dark brown one away at last so I could dig up that patch of ground without clobbering her with my pick-axe.

I was all "come on hon' - you gotta go..."

    She was pissed.

Of course - if I got jabbed in the ass with a stick, I would be, too.

    heh.

Awww, babies smell amazing don't they? If you could bottle that smell and give it to all the world leaders there'd be no more wars because everyone would feel all warm and fuzzy inside.

too much celebrity treatment of a baby will cause the baby to feel like center of attention and therefore more pesky and more demanding...a baby needs to grow a character and attention to the baby needs to be balanced
