McCain is a war monger he should just admit it. I think it's weird to wear clothes with people's face on them. But if a shirt just said Obama on it then I'd wear it. I think bumper stickers are a bad idea those things don't readily come off.

The US Senate has not held a vote on any legislation honestly describable as "far left" for many years. There is no way Obama could have delivered such a vote. Obama's health care plan is right of center. So are his proposed handling of the Iraq War, his description of the problems with the US military contracting, and his proposals for handling immigration problems. None of the standard left approaches and means of handling problems - trade unions, nationalization of monopoly industries, political control of international currency flow, community (political) control of economic activity based and funded from outside the community, alignment of treaties and trade agreements with local community interests and local environmental concerns, etc - are central features of Obama's rhetoric or proposed legislation or campaign organization or legislative history. He's not "left" of center, but "right". If he were too far left of McCain for even a handshake, McCain's position would be quite extreme. McCain's position is not that extreme, officially.
I wish it wasn't laughable. I'd love to see American kids get fired up and start firing on McCain rallies. That would be well and truly epic.
Endless clueless? Okay, think of it this way. It's rude enough to pinch a loaf on the carpet, but if you tell me it's a sex toy, I won't believe it until you cram a couple batteries into it and make it vibrate. Left, left, left. I admit this has been a fairly successful maneuver by conservatives going on at least since Reagan tried, with some success, to transform "liberal" into a dirty word. I mean, look at who qualifies as "liberal" these days. Bill Clinton, colloquially known as the Best Republican President Ever? Hillary Clinton, who wants us to know she can be just as tough and militant as the boys? Barack "My Position on FISA is Farther to the Right Than Republicans in the 1970s" Obama? That sort of pretentious trembling fear of liberalism might play in "Middle America" and "Jesusland", but for once it doesn't appear to be playing in Peoria. Think of it this way: How many Democrats and Republicans alike voted for the horrid bailout plan? Yet it's pretty much what they had to work with, and while many on both sides of the aisle would have preferred that they said "No" to this giant pile of sewage, the alternative proposal featured more tax cuts for the wealthy and commercial socialism in the form of mandatory insurance; in other words, it was even worse. So, shall we define McCain as a socialist for his vote on the bill? In the first place, Congress writes bad legislation far more often than it writes good legislation. To the other, conservative legislation during the Bush administration has been particularly foul, even by that standard. Trying to hang a man on a record that is allegedly insubstantial in terms of establishing his credit is just petty. We'll see what he comes up with for a health plan. Remember how many conservatives voted for the corporate-socialist prescription plan. Let's see if Barack Obama can do any better on healthcare in general. And if he does, and his administration helps bring about something that not only works, but has the people's support, will you still complain that he's way out to the left? Remember that your alarmist bawling of "left left left" doesn't work on someone for whom a vote for Obama is a concession to the American right wing. Watching the Democratic Party move to the right in fits and leaps over the last sixteen years has been nearly heartbreaking. Yet I do understand that compromise is part of the American way of getting things done; still, though, there is only so much people can be asked to compromise on. Your hypocritical rush to the gallows is also ill-informed.
