Or incomes are down for all but 400 with the greatest income as they got 16% of all the income.

Let P be the US population and assume P got 6% salary increase. I.e. got 1.06 more dollars than last year. But 400 got 16% of that larger salary so then (P-400) got 84% of the 1.06 = 89.04% of the larger total. Why the middle class is shrinking and 85% of them say it is harder to make ends meet this year than last. etc.

Lets do this again, but with quoted data:

Let P be the US population and assume P got 6% salary increase. I.e. got 1.06 more dollars than last year. But 2% got 24.1% of that larger salary so then 98% got 75.9% of the 1.06 = 80.45% of the larger total. Why the middle class is shrinking and 85% of them say it is harder to make ends meet this year than last. etc.

Soon time to get the guillotines out of the museums, no?

Enough obfuscation, where is the proof to back up your claims? If it is common knowledge, then it shouldn't be difficult for you to prove it. It was also common knowledge that the world was flat. It was also common knowledge that the Sun orbited the Earth. It was also common knowledge, and still is in some circles, that the earth is only a few thousand years old. So stop the obfuscation.

Just wait till Progressives (like Joe) need to bail out their Banking buddies AGAIN... and again, and again, and again. When the Law puts it's boot on your carotid for daring to question the State, try and remember these conversations

Hi Michael. If you spent your energies on getting the republican/conserves and their Bain/Romney and other Banker organizations to stop sabotaging efforts and reforms aimed at PREVENTING BAILOUTS in future, then you would be credible. Until then, you seem to be all over the place without a clear idea of what the REAL problem is. Do you just want to 'scattergun' target everything and everyone EXCEPT the REAL PROBLEMS/SOLUTIONS? Sounds like it. Wondering why....are you a 'doomsayer' no matter what? Is that it? Anarchism is just another 'ism' without any direction except 'down'. Good luck with that. Bye, and all the best to you and yours in the future whatever the govt. Cheer up!

Wait and see what "Progressive" Obama and his "Progressive" team of Keynesian Economists bring us 2013-17. Oh, and at that time - try to recall these early conversations.

I'm sure predictions will be as accurate as ones made in 2008. We're all doomed, again.

Right wing extremists like you Michael, need to stop taking money from the very people you claim to eschew and get real with facts and reason. If your ideology had merit you wouldn't need to rewrite history and the dictionaries. You wouldn't have to lie. You wouldn't have to misrepresent and deceive. And you would know little things like the difference between renting and owning assets. And you wouldn't have to invest so much in failed attempts at intimidation with name calling in desperate attempts to save your ideology from the trash heap of history.

Tell that to this last generation of American graduates, they've had their futures stolen from them.

Why the U.S. Has a Worse Youth Unemployment Problem than Europe

But don't worry, I'm sure combining years of Government School "Education" teaching children to BE workers and with the top 1% now bailed out by the 99% and shipping all the jobs over to China... things are going to work out just fine.

So, no we're not 'doomed' and nor will we be 'doomed' - but we will watch as generation after generation of Americans loose hope and opportunity thanks in large to Progressives and Neo-Cons finding that they most certainly can agree with one another and agree f*cking fast: When it comes to bailing out the Top 1%. Just keep watching MSNBC, Faux and CNN, I'm sure they won't lie to you.

    "Right Wing Extremist" huh Joe?

Nice one there. Why don't you tell me exactly which 'Right Wing Extremist" ideologies I hold Joe. Go on now, this will be good.

Which of the following of my beliefs are 'Right Wing Extremist' Joe?

    1) Americans should have the freedom to use a fair-value competing currencies.
    2) American WORKERS should NOT be forced to pay a TAX on their Labor
    3) American CHILDREN should not have to repay the 30 year BONDS this generation of crooks, CONgressmen and sycophants sold on their labor.
    4) That I support a free-market and trade via volunteerism
    5) That I would see our military budget slashed by 80% closing all bases outside the USA (that one's really "right wing")
    6) The the Federal Government has no right to dictate which jobs you can chose to do, what drugs medicinal or otherwise you use or sell or who can marry to whom.
    6) That the MOST important thing anyone here can do is to peacefully raise the next generation without spanking or other forms of violence.

See, Joe is using the playbook of all Progressives, attack Economic Liberty and Individual Civil Rights as "Extremist". For Joe, Thomas Jefferson and his warnings against ever letting a Central Bank take control our money and sell bonds on our labor is "Extremest". Or at best, much like the US Constitution, antiquated. Joe made it crystal clear, he fully supported George W. Bush Jr. 110% when he and his Neo-Con/Progressive CONgress bailed out the VERY SAME BANKS that destroyed our economy. AND Obama hired the SAME GOONS who didn't see the GFC coming when it was staring them in the face - to continue to run and ruin our economy. Anyone here who thinks the Neo-CON Chicken Hawks and Progressive Welfare Queens can't agree on anything should take a look at how quickly they agreed to bail out the Top 1% in 2008. Oh they agree on many things. That you and your children are Tax Cattle being the chief among their agreements.

Well most of those things, except for 5 and aaah 7. By the way I approve of spanking (if other non-violent means don't work, ever child is different and some need "tough love", some need military school even), that does not make me a conservative. I agree in that you should not be label: your brand of crazy is all your own

You're just like a child throwing a tantrum. I'd like to see some of that also. Your opinion about bailing out the world financial system is irresponsible. It's easy for you to whine about bailing out the banks after the fact. Even Bush knew what the consequence would be if we let them all fail. Grow up. Your going to grow up to be a intellectually dishonest ideologue if you don't start using the space behind your forehead for more than holding your ears apart.

Michael, really, what is it you are attacking? You are all over the shop. Some of what you say we agree with...except you point the blame for it to Obama instead of Romney and banker/repub/conserve pals.

You also point to EMERGENCY measures necessitated DURING EMERGENCY created/left by repubs/conseves, and also blame Obama for SUCCEEDING in implementation to prevent another great depression.

Then you make general doomsday generalizations/predictions which are RECYCLED repub/conserve/tea-party propaganda and divisive sabotaging of national unity in an emergency....practically amounting to TREASON in a 'financial national emergency' situation. And you somehow again try to implicate Obama in it by failing to discern the difference of what HE did and what THEY would have done (which is on record now for even one-eyed types like you to see for yourself).

And you fail to discern the problem from the solution. The problem ALREADY HAPPENED. The solution NEEDS to happen. Obama/Dems are best choice so far for implementing reforms that would PREVENT all the dire things you 'predict' without attempting to discern the problem (ie, repubs/conserves and their banker/crook mates) from the solution (ie, reformers like Obama/Democrats).

Do better, mate. And cheer up, will ya! The history of mankind has been the overcoming of adversity in many guises and eras. This is just the latest episode in social/national/global evolutionary trajectory which by 'trial and error' we zero-in on the 'middle way' that is sustainable in the longer term. Now the internet and science and national communications/informations base/access make THIS PRESENT episode more positive than all the past based on ignorance, religion/superstition, hatred, fear, greed and unchecked treasonous and mercenary approaches.

Buck up, buckaroo! It's not as bad as it could have been this time round! Let's see what Obama can accomplish and how soon the repub/conserve loonies stop getting in the way of necessary reforms. Good luck!

Yeah, try it on. It fits, so wear it. You like to call me a Progressive when clearly I am not. I have been advocating main stream economic policies; you just don’t like main stream economic policies. You don’t like to bother yourself with facts and reason. You choose instead to ignore them and invent your facts as needed and when needed to support your ideology.

When you have to rewrite history and the dictionary to justify your ideology as you do Michael, it’s a clue. And it doesn’t say you are main stream. Libertarianism is extreme, it is right wing, and it is a fringe ideology.

You have been preaching Libertarianism for many years now. Libertarianism is as you have advocated anarchism. And you don’t get more extreme right wing than anarchy. Libertarianism is Republican small & weak government, no taxation ideology on steroids.

The fact that you want to constrain your beliefs for this discussion to only those listed speaks volumes Michael. The fact is your list is gibberish and an attempt to obfuscate. You are an avowed Libertarian.

Roderick Long, Libertarian philosopher defines Libertarianism as:
"any political position that advocates a radical redistribution of power from the coercive state to voluntary associations of free individuals" – Roderick Long, Libertarian philosopher

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Roderick_Long

Libertarianism is another word for anarchy Michael, and anarchy is as extreme right wing as anyone can get. Translated, anarchy means he who has the gold makes the rules. We have already been there and done that many times in history, it has never worked.

Michael is using the playbook of all right wing extremists, attack evidence, attack reason, and attack anyone who challenges the extremist right wing ideology, do a lot of name calling, misrepresent their positions, use the straw man and lie and mindlessly repeat the dogma to ad nauseum and don’t forget to throw in the standard talking points about the Constitution and Thomas Jefferson and above all ignore evidence, history and reason.
