The Light of Other Days by Arthur C. Clarke and Stephen Baxter.

Just finished reading it. I feel it is more of a Baxter book than Clarke's due to no mention of Asian (India, SriLanka) civilization , mythology, people, computer people etc. Although the main character Hiram is an Indian (Patel). Remember Ross Perot jokingly said "The Indians must have a Computer Gene"....

The other part is The primitive earth was described based on Paul Hoffman's work (Science vol. 281, p 1342, 28 August 1998). Since the book is a fiction, you would think, they would have come up more civilizations in the last few billion years. On the whole I like the book and the premises. Comments....

Not all of his books mention the above, only some.

I posted this in another thread...

Yes, I read that book. a bit off topic here but .... it is also a great tool for ending all crime. Who would commit a crime when they knew that they could be watched, not only at the same time as the crime was being committed BUT also in the future they could look back and watch it again.

    Don't you agree?
