limbaugh has time to speak to CPAC and Fox today to discuss talk about his views and positions. But it has now been more than a month since he refused to debate a business reporter on his views and opinions. What a friggin COWARD!
Fun with Bellow the Elephant Limbaugh was accepting an award as a Defender of the Constitution. Hang on, that's worth a laugh: We want every American to be the best he or she chooses to be. We recognize that we are all individuals. We love and revere our founding documents, the Constitution and the Declaration of Independence. [Applause] We believe that the preamble to the Constitution contains an inarguable truth that we are all endowed by our creator with certain inalienable rights, among them life. [Applause] Liberty, Freedom. [Applause] And the pursuit of happiness. [Applause] Those of you watching at home may wonder why this is being applauded. It was one of the more politically acidic notes in a speech defined by rambling political assaults. But the conservative talk show host wasn't exactly standing on firm footing. Just a few moments earlier he himself had actually -- not theoretically -- "bastardized" the Constitution by confusing it with the Declaration of Independence. I was not really paying attention to the C-Span broadcast but I thought that I heard him say that the Preamble contained the "inalienable rights" clause but when no one in the media made mention of it I thought I did not hear correctly. Thank you for letting me know that I did hear what I thought I heard.
Ah yes the Preamble to the Constitution, and what Rush said: We the People of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defence,[1] promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America. He didn't say it was part of the Preamble, he said the concept of; Life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness And that: We believe that the preamble to the Constitution contains an inarguable truth that we are all endowed by our creator with certain inalienable rights, among them life,[Applause] Liberty, Freedom. [Applause] And the pursuit of happiness. . Yes, for all the wiggle room you want to give THE Obama when He speaks, THE Rush man, nailed the spirite of our Constitution, the Inalienable Rights of the People to:
Relax Dude, it's just a minor irony. Relax. Your frantic effort to explain this all away only adds to the comic effect. I mean, Limbaugh was pretty clear: "We believe that the preamble to the Constitution contains an inarguable truth that we are all endowed by our creator with certain inalienable rights, among them life. Liberty, Freedom." In the long run, the irony is shorter-lived without you having a hissy-cow in Limbaugh's defense.
