i don't think sub space weapons would work against SW ships. from all we know hyperdrive has nothing to do with subspace. i mean if the isolinear wave would hit them yes, it could damage/destroy them, but it would not track them.

as for the E-E's run, they were practicaly damaging themselves by trying to use impulse drive on full while still in the Briar patch.

While Trek can simply send thousands of INVULNERABLE (read, TRUE Neutronium hulled) Doomsday Devices to munch on your solar systems... even if Trek looses, you have thousands of invincible mecha-organisms eating your stars, planets, and moons... and large ships...

Skywalker... evidence it's a direct hit:

    We see the trooper fire.

    We see Leia get hit.

    Pretty cut n dry... no?

Also note that we can safely assume, given the way we have observed them act, PHASERs are designed to be smart weapons. you can fire them a few degrees off target and they will auto-correct the beam at the emitter tip. If you miss your obvious intended target, the beam seems to be diminished in power (as obviously it has an auto-targeting system).

Thus, just because the phaser didn't make a huge explosion in the sand, we can safely say it's because the weapon reduced power when it wasn't over the target.

Just like R2 reduced the power of Anikins fighter, right?

    *chuckles*

I dare you to try and disprove that mate... really...

It's a direct hit... ffs look at the section it hit. Unless she is wearing shoulder pads... don't EVEN go there...

And no, she is not "force sensitive" here... hell, she doesn't really even BELIEVE in it to be honest... at least given her dialogue!

Also - prove her poncho is energy ablative... or that such things are effective... after all, we know JUST how ABSOLUTELY EFFECTIVE stormtrooper "armor" is...

    Uh huh...

Yet in TOS, Scotty explicatly said that the Enterprise could EASILY penetrate PLANETARY SHIELDS, but the power level required to do so would end up VAPORIZING THE ATMOSPHERE of the planet...

that's pretty well pwned right there mate... stop lying ...

Uhm... no... Trek tanks and ground vehicles can't walk down a cliff...

they simply jump it quickly, or transport down... or rapel... all much faster ways to get down.

And for the most part, Trek ground troop ASSAULTS (not away teams) are ALWAYS supported by some form of aerial group... be it shuttlecraft modified for battle (boarding / landing craft) or smaller starships (intrepid, galaxy saucers, etc) as stated in the books and the few vocal references said in the shows.

    Again:

    Dyson Sphere
    Doomsday Devices

Any random Starship larger than a Scout vessel could simply Vaporize the Atmosphere... (eg, burn it off) with pretty much simple phaser fire... why destroy the whole planet when you can rend it 100% uninhabitable?

And before you b**ch about how they don't need atmosphere:

The resulting explosion and implosion when the atmosphere burns off would CRUSH anything and ROAST anything on the planets surface and probably burn away a few meters of the soil too...

No, but Trek doesn't need them. Our ships generally last more than 2 or 3 fights... where as it seems TIE's and anything SD and under is disposable...

Dragging the tear was NOT damaging the ship at all...

The Enterprise was severely limited in speed because of their location - highly volitile metrion gas nebulae. Without the modifications to the ship (which was STATED BLATENTLY in the beginning of the movie) she was at a severe disadvantage - shields barely worked, impulse drive was limited to half impulse if they didn't want to blow up the manifolds (as stated by Geordi) and weapons fire was dangerous... also, if you noticed, they were NOT firing at the pursuing ships, which means they could have been under fire for over half an hour. This makes sense given the time it took them to get out, get a signal out, and get back.

Uhm, Q stated, quite simply, that the REASON the subspace anomaly (which wound up being a very strange "break" in time/space continuum) was BECAUSE of the way the three ships were attempting to close it - using their nav deflector to output a high frequency pulse. Not even a WEAPON, yet THREE SHIPS managed to severely damage subspace... and then FIX it at the cost of all three ships - after which, Q repaired the timeline and restored Picard and his Crew...

STOP downplaying the Q - if you were to ask the creators of TNG what the Q were, they'd tell you "Omnipotent, Omniscant beings"... jsut as Q has said MULTIPLE times!

Skywalker - the Ent-D itself wasn't travelling time... just Picard was.

Also, a micro-jump like that would be severely dangerous... and we could easily stop it from being possible by trapping you in a tractor beam. After all, our Tractors work by manipulating GRAVITY WELLS, which is what stops your hyperdrive from functioning according to EU... and the Vong

Finally, the ultimate answer to all these debates:

We have seen the Ent-D emit anti-matter bursts... we'll just simply throw a load of antimatter onto any Star Wars ship that comes near a Trek ship.

I don't care WHAT your hull is made of - soon as contact is made, that section of hull is GONE. And given that we're using something far FAR smaller than a snubfighter or an x-wing (which easily apparently fit between gaps in the shields of an ISD (given that the Falcon could do it) and the DS...) and that Ray shields wont' stop it... yeah, yer outa luck.

Or, we'll just beam the A/M onto your bridge... I have yet to see any real proof that Wars shields could stop a Trek transporter...

It is anything Destroyer or Dreadnaught under is disposable. ( Destoryer not Star Destroyer ). The Star Forge make Destroyers.

You are correct, sorry. That is one shot, remeber 1. Stromtrooper blaster rifles on rapid can fire 20 shots per second ( Star Wars Insider ), however they are requested not to use it whenever possible. Remember Blaster's nature is to blast things not burn them.

Give me a reason why not. Remember that they can sneak spies onto Earth, and pertend to be a Civilian and join the Starfleet then steal some info. They can sneak Skywalker onto Earth, and he can bypass Federation identification ( If they have any ) , by using mind affect on the sercuity, if that don't work he say he is a refugee from another planet, if that doesn't work, he garb 10 lightsabers and use the force to control 8 of them and he will connect the other two to make a double blade, then start killing and running. They can send spies down to earth.

In Fist Contact it was. They just keep shoting no matter what ( Destroyers don't worth much anyways )
